The black leadership coalition Project 21 is speaking out against Sarah Jeong, the New York Times hire for its editorial board, calling her history of anti-white person slurs on social media racist and vulgar and the decision reveals inconsistency and irresponsibility in the media outlets handling of race issues.
Ms. Jeong is the recipient of leftist privilege, which means that whatever she says can and will be forgiven no matter how vile or racist her actions may have been, Project 21 Co-Chair Stacy Washington said.
In response to the backlash over her addition to the New York Times editorial staff, the paper shared that they had discussions with her about the appropriateness of her tweets, Washington said. This is within their purview, but the double-standard is glaring.
Roseanne Barr was blacklisted for one tweet, Washington said. Even after she showed remorse and apologized profusely, there is no path of redemption for her.
In the freest nation on the planet, we are witnessing jackbooted political thuggery, Washington said.
Sarah Jeongs comments are antithetical in an age when we should be moving beyond racism to embrace our greater American identity, Project 21 member Rich Holt said in a statement distributed to the media. This racist liberal engages in a divisive anti-white narrative that is just as damaging as black codes and segregation were in the past.
As Americans, we need to erase the hyphens that divide us and embrace our unity under the red, white and blue, Holt said.
Despite firing technology reporter Quinn Norton earlier this year within hours of revelations of racial posts, the paper now says it stands by Jeong, the Project 21 press release said.

They are now and forever “The Racist New York Times”
Non White Times
Shouldn’t the NY Slimes eschew its White Males?
Especially the Owner, ; A.G. Sulzberger.
Logic is a bitch when it’s thrown back at you. Great point.
In 2016 the blue wall crumbled. Now we’re seeing the black wall start to crumble. The Democrats response? Double down on double standards and hate. And act out on their own racism by attacking black conservatives like Candace Owens.
I agree 100% every reference to them should include the word racist in front of it. they've earned it

I think we should call Sarah Jeong a prognazi or a liberal nazi. since she advocates white extermination.
“Did they think no one would notice or care???”
No one whom they care about would care.
It is like watching white trust fund babies screaming end white supremacy at Candace Owens.....the irony is too rich
Well, Logic is not really a part of the ‘Rat Party Party’s emotional thinking policy points...
😮
I think they’re afraid that cutting her loose will confirm the obvious fact that racism is not limited to white, something the progressive left denies.
Black conservatives need to be in the next Conservative party congress!!
I'm part Native...
But there are maybe 6 people in the county that are Asian...
Plenty of good people..though...salt of the earth kinda people....She is welcome...to come see.
Since most customers of the nyt’s are garbage guzzling left wing nuts, the rag will continue to spew progressive propaganda.
With this hire the NYT has adopted as its own the guise of yellow, sensationalist, muckraking journalism. Sad.
The NY Times does not care what any of us say or think - they are always correct in all decisions and opinions.
Ms. Jeong is the recipient of leftist privilege.”
Ohh, I LIKE that!
“Leftist privilege”
That’s GREAT!
Later on the Russians sent a bunch of cattle into orbit:”The heard shot around the world”.
I am sure CNN will be all over this since they are always such supporters of the African American community. /SSSSSAAAAAARRRRRRCCCC
