The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce previously said it would never remove a star over backlash.
The West Hollywood City Council will vote Monday night on a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to permanently remove Donald Trumps walk of fame star.
The marker, which was unveiled in 2007, has been vandalized numerous times and completely destroyed twice to date.
"The City Council will consider adopting a resolution urging the Los Angeles City Council and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to remove President Donald J. Trumps star from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, due to his disturbing treatment of women and other actions that do not meet the shared values of the City of West Hollywood, the region, state, and country," reads the agenda item for the Monday meeting.
The staff report for the resolution lists numerous reasons for the matter, including the separation of children from their parents at the border, the denial of the impacts from climate change on the word, Trump's treatment of transgendered individuals and the denial of findings from the intelligence community of Russian interference in the 2016 election, among more.
When critics called for the removal of Bill Cosby's star from the walk of fame amid multiple sexual assault claims leveled against the comedian, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce said it did not remove stars over backlash and cited historical landmark status.
Trump's star was most recently destroyed in late July after 24-year-old Austin Mikel Clay allegedly took a pickaxe to it in the early morning hours. For his actions, he was booked on felony vandalism and jailed on a $20,000 bail. He has since been released.
Before the July destruction, 53-year-old James Lambert Otis was taped destroying the star with a jackhammer and a pickaxe. He later pleaded no contest to one felony count of vandalism. That was in 2016.
Otis told The Hollywood Reporter he intended to help Clay with is legal troubles.

Too bad Cayce was wrong. Thanks yesthatjallen.
I was wondering the same.
But the walk of fame is.
Sounds like what has engulfed San Francisco and Seattle will be coming to West Hollywood.
Stong Americans support the President.
Weak America hate the President and use violence to make their point. Weak and pathetic, just like the West Hollywood city council.
Make it out of titanium.
Trump will have a presidential library. What does he care about a star on the sidewalk in Hollyweird?
Does Harvey Weinstein have a star? Does the Council approve of his values?
If I were Trump, I’d tell them, Go for it. Oh by the way, I’m going to regulate movies the same way Obama regulated coal mines. To much water and electricity wasted. Time to get the EPA involved.
Please remove all Martin Luther King Boulevards from out cities as they attract crime
I wonder if it ever occurred to them to just insist anyone who damages the area be made to fully restore the damage to original condition - no matter how long it takes to garnish the money from the perps.
