The hacking collective Anonymous is pledging to expose the people behind the "QAnon" conspiracy theory.
The anarchist hacking group slammed the QAnon conspiracy as potentially dangerous and driven by a “brainless political agenda” in a video posted Sunday to what is widely considered the most reliable Anonymous Twitter account.
“We will not see idly by while you take advantage of the misinformed and poorly educated,” the group said in the video, which was posted with the hashtags "#OpQ" and "#OpQAnon."
The video depicts various figures with the Anonymous masks acting out certain aspects of the QAnon conspiracy over a constant backdrop of the letter “Q.”
The video claims that Anonymous “knew who was responsible for Q,” and thought it was funny at first. However, the group now believes the conspiracy theory has gone too far.
“Someone is gonna get hurt so we have to put our foot down and start some s--- with you all,” the group said in the video.
QAnon shifted into the spotlight after numerous attendees at President Trump's rally in Florida last week held Q-shaped cutouts and posters alluding to the conspiracy theory.
The wide-ranging and vague “QAnon” touches on a number of popular unproven conspiracy theories: Democrats and prominent Hollywood figures are orchestrating underground pedophile rings; special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe is a front for investigating Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama for their ties to said rings; and hundreds of sealed indictments may have already been handed down in the Clinton case.
The theory was started by a person on 4chan last year claiming to be a high-ranking security official in the Trump administration. The individual or individuals goes by the identity of "Q," and has continued to fan the theory on online platforms.
A number of conservative figures have pushed back against the conspiracy theory on Twitter in recent days, including Michael Flynn Jr. and Sean Spicer.
Anonymous has been adamantly opposed to Trump since he announced his candidacy in 2015. The group declared "cyber war" on Trump in March 2016, directing its followers to take down the then-candidate's websites.
It’s not a small thing that, among other nice things it is degrading, the online world is corrupting language.

You came in to this conversation very ignorant of the subject, using the left’s falsehoods and such, so don’t be mad if you are called on it.
Despite your troll-like attack, I have been trying to be nice, civil, and helpful because I understand you’ve been fed a bunch of falsehoods about this GOOD movement.
If you don’t want to participate or understand what it really is all about, then that’s fine, it’s your choice. Just don’t expect us, who have put in the GOOD hard work trying to understand this, to not correct you when you are wrong about it.
What you really fail to understand is we’re both exactly what you claim about being a Constitutionalist and such and we have the same goals. So does President Trump as well as the Q team and this GOOD movement. If you don’t want to understand this then that’s fine but if you are going to act troll-like and attack people for their understandings and research, which much of your attack is based on falsehoods, then expect to be called out on it. Remember, you chose to get in to this discussion without knowing much about it.

Well, a cyber attack on a website is illegal and you bragged you knew one was going down an hour before it happened. Whether you were involved in the takedown or not, you bragged you knew about it beforehand so that would be of interest to them, I’m sure. There is a lawyer and his computer guy who just got indicted for this sort of thing, locally FWIW.

I actually gave you a chance to put your money where your mouth is by running your assertions by the FReeper Braintrust on the Q threads and you refuse. So before you take your self-indulged victory lap, you’re not willing to have your info and sources scrutinized by some of the very best we have on this great site.
When FReepers take on an issue, like they have with with this Q movement, they can be some of the best investigators on the web. We have a long GOOD history of doing this. The good and bad is torn apart til they get to the truth and so far no one has been able to do as you claim about Q.
The answer is really simple here. Which is to take your case to the FReeper Braintrust on the Q threads. If you are so confident in your sources, what are you afraid of? So there is nothing wrong with presenting your so-called facts to the FR Braintrust.
FWIW, when I was out battling liberal trolls back in the day, FRee Republic was a great go-to resource for the reasons stated above.

I’m perfectly capable of handling this myself though as I have put in the tons of hours studying and researching this. We know you have not and just resort to trolling to try to win the argument.
I offered a simple solution to put your money where your mouth is and you resort to trolling behavior like obfuscations and misdirection. I honestly don’t think you are that confident in your position enough to take it up with our great FR Braintrust, who are doing great work figuring out what this Great Awakening is all about. Well, you are displaying trollish behavior by misdirecting again. Which you are, instead of proving your assertions by taking your case to the FR Braintrust on the Q threads. That would be so easy to do if you were as confident in your assertions and sources as you claim.
