During the last few weeks of Donald Trumps presidential campaign in the fall of 2016, I found myself seeking out increasingly tender and empathetic photographs of his supporters. Maybe it was the long weeks away from my own son that softened my eye and drew me toward parents and their children at Mr. Trumps rallies. Itd been a long journey covering the campaign, and I remember being exhausted by the anger I experienced. The crowds took Mr. Trumps lead and directed their hatred at me and my colleagues from the press, event after event, day after day, and, eventually, it took a toll.

As much of a toll on lib propagandists as the unending drumbeat of anti-Trump fake news has on conservatives?
Winning ...
So long as you are alive and can write, the toll was not great enough
When I read things like this, I realize that the author is inferring that these are poor abused kids, as though they are unusual among US kids. Have liberals not yet grasped that half of the country voted for DJT for POTUS? Therefore, about half of US kids would be happy to be able to get into a Trump rally.
In fact, perhaps it is more than half since liberals are the one promoting abortion and contraception among unmarried folks. Many consider pregnancy to be a disease.
That’s a form of abuse......the kid doesn’t look happy at all about doing this.
Now DARE the NYT (the New York Terrorists) offer ANY opinion after they have hired an avowed and dedicated anti-white racist.... and PROUDLY DEFENDED THE HIRE!
Odd how Damon Winter missed those emotional assaults on our children you listed... Bet he didn't cover our people being shot at at a baseball practice - or mused about the possibility the Vegas slaughter was an attack on Trump Supporters. Or the effect of that violence on OUR children. If the same things had been done and said about President Obama Damon Winter would NOT have been surprised at the outrage of black parents.
Poor Damon. Someone get him his binky.
I remember members of the press gleefully reporting anti-Trump events during the campaign where children about 7, 8 or 9 were shouting “F—k Trump,” and giving the finger. I didn’t hear a single liberal reporter condemn or express any distaste for these events.

Hi.
“and, eventually, it took a toll.”
Poor thing. Damon needs a can of Donald Trump’s #45 Butt Hurt salve.
