Amid growing demands from the corn lobby that the government mandate even more ethanol be blended into the nations gasoline supplies, new finding call such proposals into question. One of the chief claims of the corn lobby is that ethanol is a more green type of energy because its renewable. From there, the argument is extended to claim that its better for the environment all the way around. But the conclusions of a study underlying the latest EPA report on the environmental impact of ethanol (seven years in the making, dating back well into the Obama administration) concludes that the opposite is true. Ethanol produces significant negative impacts on the environment, in some cases worse than the gasoline its supposed to be replacing.

Given the insistence on using that poison, the PTB’s will push for more.
Gotta keep that subsidy.
Ethanol is criminal.

Ethanol produces significant negative impacts on the environment, in some cases worse than the gasoline its supposed to be replacing. It enables gasoline to mix with water.
Next question.

So these same “farmers” object to subsidies .... ethanol is nothing but a government ordered subsidy that rapes the farmland for the benefit of big farm corps.

MTBE was very detrimental to the environment but California insisted on it. They will do the same with ethanol.

Ethanol needs to be outlawed. It kills gas mileage. Kills engines. It's bad for the environment. It increases the cost of corn-fed livestock and food that uses corn.
The only reason we have it is for congress critters to buy corn farmer votes. It's welfare for corn farmers.

A long-delayed report from the Environmental Protection Agency finds that requiring ethanol made from corn and soybeans to be part of the nations gas supply is causing serious environmental harm. Sounds like another example of "Todays solution is tomorrow's problem". - Tom

And on top of that, it takes more energy to produce a unit of ethanol than the energy we get from it

The US has no need, of any kind, for ethanol fuel.
It has always been a bad deal economically, and environmentally. The ethanol mandate should be entirely eliminated.
Ethanol beverages are an entirely different matter.
