Yeah, I feel for you. Normally an approach to Reno is visual but we had to go all instrument to land there.
I happened to be in Delhi when it reached 50C (122F). Some of thecairpirts runway melted.
Even places with A/C, it isnt the same as in the U.S. We went to Italy some years ago in June. Had a great time, had decent enough A/C in our villa. But I was glad to be back in the Land of the Big Air Conditioner after being there for about 10 hot days.
A little better right now. This a.m. I could barely make out a ridge line less than a mile north of me.
Generally, temps here are mostly defined by sun factors - its activity, its position, its visibility (such as shade, etc.). Isn’t it so?
I have no air-conditioning, never had it.
Thanks to the metric system....no one will care. So easy to measure, so hard to care. Glad we never adopted it.
I was in Germany (Ramstein AB) and in 1995 they had a terrible heat wave. We lived off base in a small village.
However, the stone building we lived in was slightly cooler than outside. At least at night the outside got cool, so we kept a fan blowing in the balcony door.
I just don’t get it. The Libtwits insist our climate change/global warming is totally due to man. They also insist they and their views are the majority throughout the world. Why don’t they off themselves and save the planet. I promise to be grateful for their sacrifice.
“48C, that’s cold!”, says Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Trump’s fault!
The Sun has been shining brighter ever since he was elected.
Well, do they have tarrifs on US air conditioners? They have plenty of money, let the exports begin.
Well duh. That’s what the C stands for.
I’d like to see the conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit as worked out in Common Core.
I'd like to visit the recently restored "Sad Hill Cemetery" filming location.
They fail to mention the MS Gulf Coast has been a bit more temperate than usual ...the excess heat merely moves so I imagine some other places are also a bit cooler than usual.
In Texas, we have this high that will sit on top of us for weeks at a time and that is when we get 100 plus. Then it will move over to AZ and then they get their 118 plus stuff. When it moves like that we get what we call “a cool front” and that is when the temperature gets in the 90s with 50 percent humidity and is really quite pleasant.
Yes I am ashamed. I didn’t buy my carbon credits. I will be sent to reeducation camp so can be told what to think about global warming.
I don’t even have an electric car, nor solar panels.
Yep - SW OK was similar - 90-95 with low humidity was/is preferable to the S MS 85-90 and 95% humidity any day...
