New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, currently one of the leading lights of the Democrats’ left-wing, is on a tour of the West Coast -- but is notably avoiding meeting up with the region’s Hollywood elites.
Ocasio-Cortez, who represents the party’s democratic socialist wing, has visited homeless areas on Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood, and has met with liberal activists.
But as she has held low-dollar fundraisers, she has not engaged in glitzy events with high-profile Democratic donors and Hollywood celebrities.
The move has already raised eyebrows, with The Hollywood Reporter asking: “Is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Too Far Left for Hollywood?”
The outlet reported that it reached out to a number of “political operatives” and “members of the industry’s donor class,” who all said they were not aware of any meetings with her -- while others weren’t aware she was in L.A. She also reportedly didn’t reach out to L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti.

She had a big fund raiser in SF a couple of days ago that sold out, though. Had to add another one. Cheapest ticket was $500 all the way up to two grand. How’s that fer yer skid row?
I thought it was reported he specifically said he was not going to run 3rd party, that he had been in politics too long and wanted a new career, after she accused him of running against her on a third party ticket? This was about three weeks ago. So now he is running? That’s great news if he is.

Alexandria is one of those rare people who look better when they keep their mouths closed and look serious.
The old saying was “She’s beautiful when she’s angry”.
Kamala is a nice looking woman too, but she doesn’t really like to smile in public anyway. When Kamala ‘smiles’ it looks sneaky, or like a grimace. So you won’t see her snorting with yuk-yuk laughter if she has her way.
What is she doing in California? And Kansas last week? She has only won a primary so far, still has the general coming up. Shouldn’t she be, like, campaigning back in her district? Hopefully this national touring will cause her defeat in November.

On another thread it was said she gets funded by a Soros entity so she doesn’t need Hollywood. She is going to ride this into the House unless Pelosi and the Dem. establishment can sand bag her.
