New York congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, currently one of the leading lights of the Democrats’ left-wing, is on a tour of the West Coast -- but is notably avoiding meeting up with the region’s Hollywood elites.
Ocasio-Cortez, who represents the party’s democratic socialist wing, has visited homeless areas on Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood, and has met with liberal activists.
But as she has held low-dollar fundraisers, she has not engaged in glitzy events with high-profile Democratic donors and Hollywood celebrities.
The move has already raised eyebrows, with The Hollywood Reporter asking: “Is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Too Far Left for Hollywood?”
The outlet reported that it reached out to a number of “political operatives” and “members of the industry’s donor class,” who all said they were not aware of any meetings with her -- while others weren’t aware she was in L.A. She also reportedly didn’t reach out to L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti.

LOL! Yeah, that’ll swing folks to her platform. Oh, she ignored hollywood. Guess that’s a good thing. Then again, a lot of us have been ignoring them for years.
I would imagine word would get back to her about that.

She won the primary due to extremely low turnout. She isn't even campaigning in her district anymore - how many times have she traveled with Bernie, or given her endorsement to other candidates like she's a Queenmaker?
I think people in her district will see what a fraud she is and will vote for Crowley, who is still on the ticket and has the backing of the DNC.

Maybe she or whoever is behind her is playing it smart.
Hollywood’s name is dirt at the moment. Those guys need her more than she needs them.
And I doubt she truly is looking for money by doing this. Odds are she can and will get plenty in NYC whenever she needs it. This touring is just for publicity.
She won because she is Puerto Rican and very good looking for a politician.
I think she wins in Nov.

Pfft...the farther left the better for those Marxists/Communists. Of course THEY don't want to be under those rules, just everybody else.
Crowley is still on the ticket, on the World's Worker line. It is effectively a 3-person race. He is still backed by Pelosi and the DNC. Trust me, the DNC does NOT want AOC to win, because they still need to keep their socialism hidden and play word games with it. AOC exposes their agenda outright, and they can't have it.
Plus the people in her district will get pissed at their future Congresscritter traveling across the country and such. When was the last time she held a town hall? An interview by a local reporter? Right now, Crowley and the GOP candidate are doing yeoman's work while she's criss-crossing the country.
Her district is majority PR, and she is now a celebrity.
And her voters dont read newspapers.
She isn’t movie-star good looking, she is politician-good looking, which is a much lower standard.
My money’s on her, because I’m a cynic.
And, to be fair, I don’t think Laz has pronounced on her.

Just because AOC didn’t meet with the “stars” doesn’t mean they are not giving her $$.
