Chinese security forces broke into the home of an academic while he was giving a live phone interview with a US broadcaster Wednesday night, abruptly forcing him off-air.

Speaking with Voice of America from his home in the eastern province of Shandong, retired professor Wenguang Sun was discussing Chinese President Xi Jinping's recent visit to Africa when security forces cut him off.

"It's illegal for you to come into my place. I have my freedom of speech," Sun shouted, before the line went dead.

The Chinese government has been stepping up its crackdown on free speech and criticism of the country's leadership in recent years, under an increasingly powerful and assertive Xi.

“...Chinese security forces broke into the home of an academic...”

And at that point, the professor pulled out his AK47 and shot them in the face, and... oh, wait... never mind. Can;t own guns...

“...t’s illegal for you to come into my place. I have my freedom of speech,” Sun shouted, before the line went dead. ...”

Umm, clearly, no, Prof, you don’t...

Gee. Ain’t communism great?

Now I suppose we need to read up on the Chinese Constitution to see if his "rights" were violated.

We should never have let the enemedia replace “Red China” with “China”; they’ve gone to great lengths to normalize the treatment of Red Chinese citizens by their unelected dictators. There is no doubt in my mind that every Western government envies the control the Reds have over their slaves.

I still call it Red China, and they’re still ChiComs to me.

Although “ChiComs” can be used for Chicago Democrats as well.
