I’m not convinced this guy had to have a big motive behind this.
People start fires just for the fun of it. They don’t leave behind a big 100 page manifesto. They just set them and then sit back and watch.
This guy just had a different twist on what he wanted to cause, and watch.
If there is no motive then no intention can be established. If no intention then there is no crime. Right Comey?

How much did this “investigation” cost?
I’m pretty certain if you’re going to go through the trouble of stocking up, arming up, planning angles, and scheduling your day around slaughtering huge numbers of human beings, you had a motive.
But that’s just me...
Correction: Some people start fires for fun because they're mentally ill. However some people start fires for political revenge, environmental reasons, to make themselves the hero, pay back, vendetta, revenge...Etc etc...
LVMPD is one of the most incompetent, corrupt police forces in the nation.

Is there any aspect of this shooting spree that the Las Vegas authorities did not screw up?
When they claim no motive was found — a guy who meticulously planned this act for many months — My mind immediately gravitates towards some type of alphabet government (deep state or political) involvement.
TWA 800 was a mechanical failure.
Hillary had no intent.
Benghazi was caused by an internet video.
It was Trump who colluded, not the DNC and Hillary.
There’s no voter fraud to be investigated.
Paddock killed 58 people without any motive.
And on and on...
...and what do we pay these folks for?
Any answer as to why hotel staff did nothing while an active shooter fired rounds from a room with 2 smashed out windows?
