He believes access to fire arms is a fundamental human right.

3D Printing may very well be the new black market during Gun prohibition.

You’d be better off buying metal machining tools and equipment. Much quicker and makes a higher quality firearm. 3D home printers are not yet there to compete.

He is an anti-authority anarchist and secessionist:

I fully support the 2nd Amendment, period. But I’m not suicidal that I would try to fire a bullet in a plastic gun.

Most of the background shots of guns being made did not involve 3-D printing, but CAD milling of metal into the right shape, using an automatically controlled and programmed metal router. The latter technology yields a much better product and the equipment is cheaper. The similarity of the two approaches is that both depend or computer programs to operate the different machinery involved. Distribution of those computer programs, information, is what has the gun-control advocates hair on fire. Both approaches allow individuals to make unregulatable, anonymous firearms. But that was possible with conventional metalworking equipment before, if you had the skills. These new technologies lower the skill needed.

Why? Because dogs are going to bark. Snakes are going to bite. And corrupt fascist governments are going to take away the right of self defense. It's that simple. God created all men equal, and Sam Colt keeps them that way.

"3D home printers are not yet there to compete."

Cody Wilson and his company Defense Distributed did develop a 3D printed gun that was marginally useful - but this case is not about that. This case is about his CNC mill and his wanting to release to the public the G-code that controls the mill while it cuts gun parts out of blocks of aluminum alloys. Real guns, made in people's garages using low-cost mills and free software. That's what this case is about. Redefining it as "undetectable plastic guns" is how the govt and the MSM are trying to prevent that from happening.

Note: The article is 6 years old and the price of Cody's CNC mill is now $2000

Honestly, I had READ of such things, but I never thought FAKEBOOK would do it to me. Now that they HAVE, many friends are describing similar censorship, such as erasing of posts, or not letting their friend “see” messages sent to them, that have happened to THEM! Just NOW Fakebook would NOT let me type the Forbidden website’s name and click Send! The “forbidden” website in question is of course www.codeisfreespeech.com if you want 10 FREE, downloadable in about one minute, computerized 3D printing blueprints for guns, go there now, while you sill can!

Just get a 3D powdered metal printer! They now have one that work with powdered TITANIUM!

Even CAD milling machines are easy to use and these machines have been around 40+ years. And you’re right they are not costly these days.
Chuck it up - find the edge - push GO.

Redefining it as "undetectable plastic guns" is how the govt and the MSM are trying to prevent that from happening.

Idiots in Congress would have you believe that they need to laws to prevent 3D plastic guns. They are idiots because a 30-year-old law is already in place, dictating that there must be a quantity of metal placed in a plastic gun to make it detectable.

I have 3D printers, and years ago downloaded Cody Wilson's plans. He did mention that you need to insert a piece of metal to make the gun legal. I do not contest the argument that 3D guns will fire bullets. However, they are not efficient, especially when one can easily acquire a production gun, or mill your own with appropriate metal machining tools. I would not trust using a 3D printed gun, versus the ones I already own.

The point of all this DIY gunsmithing is to make a fully non-metallic weapon that would fool metal detectors.

I stand by my point, shooting bullets from plastic weapons is suicidal.

Any idiot can CAD map an automatic sear and have a CNC mill make it.

Think simple encryption then try sending the URL spelled backwards or with changes such as writing “dot” for the period, or scrambling the words in the URL or the letters throughout the message text and then give instructions for unscrambling. Most of this surveillance is done with bots and they only look for the offending plain text string.

The plastic single shot .45 was a proof of concept number. It will shoot a couple of rounds before becoming unusable. It wasn't meant to be an effective firearm, but more as a catalyst for tinkerers to create a home gun manufacturing capability and infrastructure for citizen defense in case gun control legislation becomes draconian. His CNC unit for machining partly completed mail order legal lower receivers for the AR15 is the real deal. The rest of the gun bits can also be bought mail order, delivered to a P.O. box and you have a weapon with no state records or serials on it. You can legally make guns for yourself for your own use, but if you loan it out and forget about it and find half a side of frozen beef on your front porch a few weeks later, you'll prolly just wire brush the BBQ grate and have some friends over.
