What's the matter with you Republicans? Why aren't you acting the least bit worried about the upcoming report on the Russian investigation to be released by Special Counsel Robert Mueller?
That is the attitude of Atlantic magazine writer Elaina Plott who can't figure out why Republicans are not in a state of panic over the future Mueller report. Plott's headscratching over the lack of Republican concern appeared on August 2 in "Why Republicans Aren’t Planning for the Coming Mueller Report":

He knows that the DOJ already passed on his case. They considered it weak. These were deep state prosecutors and they passed.

Basically Trump has TOTALLY INOCULATED his base from anything that Mueller is able to claim.
We, the base, know that the people Mueller hired are POLITICAL OPERATIVES who look at their only job as being to take down Trump, and thus we give them ZERO credibility.
At this point, even if Mueller can prove that Putin spent the entire month of October, 2016 in Trump Tower, meeting with Trump daily - I wouldn’t care, because I know JUST WHO is making that claim...and I know they’re lying.
If they want to try this bloodless coup, they will soon see what a revolution is like.

Manafort, perhaps, has some worrying to do. But whatever he did was years and years before he began working for Trump. I guess it is now common knowledge, to the point where it is heresy to deny, that the Russians “meddled” with our elections. The degree of which still remains amorphous. Nobody thinks they hacked voting machines. They may have unleashed many Tweets and Facebook trollisms to what effect can only be speculated upon.
That such behavior benefitted Trump is only claimable in hindsight, nobody would care one shred of one iota had HRC won. Imagine, if you can stomach it, that HRC won the election, and it was Trump raising this stink. He’d be laughed off the golf course, and of course utterly zero DOJ effort would have been expended looking for it. The very thought is laughable.
The whole “obstruction of justice” thing is a full on flat out impossibility, a tall tale, a made up nothing.
What remains does not, as far as I can tell, rise to anything resembling a crime. OTOH, the crap that went on on the other side rises to about 83 crimes.

In a number of places, the article refers to rumors Mueller’s report will come out in the next couple weeks. Apparently that’s the buzz in DC.
