Veteran newsman Dan Rather on Wednesday said President Trump should be held personally accountable if any violent acts are committed against the press under his presidency. Citing Tuesday night’s rally in Tampa, Florida, Mr. Rather accused Mr. Trump of “whipping up the crowd into a frenzy” and “inviting, even inciting, violence” against the press.

That particular phrase is easily misconstrued as a call to violence. He doesnt have to back down one bit, just quit using that phrase.
They got used to getting away with this mess for decades, and never being called on it. They’re perpetual adolescents. Our leadership on the right generally tried to take the high road, “be the adults”. You can’t deal as an adult with an adolescent, it doesn’t work. Their brains aren’t fully formed (says a lot about grown up leftists, to reach their numerical ages and still be stuck in Never-Never Land). We finally get on the only level they can understand, and they’re shocked, shocked, that the adults would return like with like. The problem is, these perpetual adolescents have positions of power and influence, and can make the adults’ lives miserable if we let them. So we can’t let them.
Oh, well.
The only public figure in or around politics who has been physically harmed has been a conservative, Steve Scalise, and it was a politically-motivated attack. The journalists who were recently attacked, were attacked by a man with a personal beef, and politics didn’t enter into it.
It’s like an arsonist saying the toaster caused the fire.
Like Obama always blame the wrong thing.

Oh, it's a new tactic alright, but it's aimed at US, not Trump. Think of it as "insurance," because they know they're getting to need it.
What they're saying is "if you hurt us, we're going to blame Trump."
"That's a nice President you got there. Be a shame if anything happened to him."
This kind of stuff makes me eye-popping mad! Either the MSM are complete idiots, who can’t find their “you know what” with both hands, or they know full well that THEY, and their political kind, are responsible for ginning up all the outrage. And they’ve been working at it for a hundred years, ruining education, so the end result is a populace who have no values, no knowledge of history, nor the ability to think, critically; lying and reporting FAKE NEWS, encouraging uninformed listeners to get violent, consorting with democrats and socialists to unseat a duly elected president, etc. With few exceptions, they are lower than pond scum, willing to do ANYTHING to see their agenda succeed.
