White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders visbly upset some journalists during a briefing on Thursday when she complained about physical dangers she has faced in her job and her unprecedented need for Secret Service protection, and blamed the reporters in the room for causing it.
Challenging her directly, one reporter responded: 'Tell that to the five dead journalists in Maryland.'
On June 28 a gunman stormed the newsroom at the Annapolis Capital newspaper and shot dead John McNamara, Gerald Fischman, Rob Hiaasen, Wendi Winters and Rebecca Smith.
Another journalist at the White House Thursday griped afterward: 'She’s going to get us killed!'
Hours earlier Ivanka Trump had expressed disagreement with the President Donald Trump's repeated claim that the political media are 'the enemy of the people.'
'I have certainly received my fair share of reporting on me personally that I know not to be fully accurate,' the first daughter said during an event convened by the Axios news website, 'so I have some sensitivity around why people have concerns and gripe, especially when they sort of feel targeted.'
'But no, I do not feel that the media is the enemy of the people.'
When a CNN correspondent asked Sanders if she would follow suit, she deflected the question.
The president most recently used the incendiary phrase four days ago, in a tweet about his reported conversation with New York Times publisher A.G. Sulzberger.

Even with that, using the left's reasoning, just as Trump supporters are responsible for the violence perpetrated against them, the "5 dead" in Maryland are responsible for the violence rained down upon them. It's a goose and gander thing.

This kind of false correlation is why propagandists pretending to be journalists are called the enemy of the people.
If you were told the circumstances of the killings in Annapolis you would NOT conclude that it had anything to do with politics.
But, no these nasty people in the press corps have to pretend that the president did it. Kick them all out until they can pass a simple test for honest journalism, and they demonstrate civil behavior.

Immediately upon the occasion of the shooting, one of the journalists at the newspaper, falsely reported that the shooters was wearing a MAGA hat.
This is part of the overwhelming dominant media paradigm that Trump supporters are volatile morally inferior impending terrorists.
The reporter ultimately confuse that they lied and resigned.
This kind of grand narrative is the essential premise of propaganda and the fascist violence that follows from it.
Yes there have been hundreds of violent acts against Trump supporters and civil right violations like the one suffered by Sarah Huckabee sanders.

Trump ought to just close down the White House press office, do away with his communications staff, and let the media go stew. He has his own ways of getting his opinions out. He doesn’t need a press secretary to do it. The briefings are a joke. The behavior of the media at press conferences is embarrassing. End it now.
