New York Attorney General Candidate Vows To ‘Prosecute’ ICE If Elected
The Daily Mail ^ | 08//02/18 | Henry Rodgers

New York Democratic attorney general candidate Zephyr Teachout said she wants to prosecute U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency officials if elected.

Teachout, a professor at Fordham University, called for the abolishment of the agency in a video released Wednesday, saying she believes ICE “is a tool of cruelty, unconstitutional behavior, illegality.” Teachout is one of many Democratic candidates who have backed the “Abolish ICE” movement.

“As attorney general, I will continue to speak out against ICE. I will prosecute ICE for their criminal acts,” Teachout said. “We have stories of consistent abuse within ICE.” (RELATED: Democrats Have ‘Abolish ICE’ Bill In Hand)

Acting ICE Director Ronald Vitiello responded to Teachout’s comments in an interview on “Fox & Friends” Thursday. “ICE was designed in the aftermath of 9/11 to protect us all. That’s what the agents and the officers of ICE, and our attorneys and our mission support people, they’re out there every day protecting this country,” he said.

After Vitiello’s interview Teachout responded in a tweet. “I’m that ‘NY AG candidate’ and I will absolutely prosecute anyone who breaks the law under my jurisdiction. Including ICE agents. We have reports of rape, and people have died in ICE detention because they didn’t get adequate medical care,” she wrote.

Teachout faces three other candidates in the Sept. 13 primary election.

Boy, as if Occasional-Kotex wasn’t stupid enough (I’d mock THIS idiot’s name, too, but just how do you get sillier than “Zephyr Teachout”?).

Rush was just talking about her, rightfully pointing out that she’s not just ignorant, but flat-out stupid.

And she is.

if there are valid criminal cases fine, but be forewarned many accusations are false and made to get permission to stay and work in the USA and possible permanent residence.
Will she prosecute those making false accusations? Those comitting identity theft?

she is an ultra left Sanders and Orsorio supported..
according to wiki, her occupation is coocoo for coco puffs!

she needs to go back to her law school and ask them about the following cases statutes, as it will be interesting to see how fast her cases against ICE Agents get removed to federal court and possibly dismissed:

Removal of criminal cases
A statute dating back to 1815, the latest analogue of which is codified at 28 U.S.C. § 1442, allows removal of state criminal cases where the defendant is a federal officer who alleges that the act was committed in carrying out his federal duties. Under this, a number of state criminal cases have been removed to federal court and there summarily dismissed, thus preventing trial on the merits of whether the officer or agent was in fact carrying out his official duties, or acting outside of them. A famous example of such a removal was the case of Idaho v. Lon Horiuchi, alleged to have committed manslaughter of Vicki Weaver in the Ruby Ridge encounter.[5]

Removal of Cases involving Federal Officers
The removal jurisdiction in cases involving federal officers who are sued or criminally prosecuted, is pursuant to 28 U.S.C. 1442.[6] as opposed to removal under 28 U.S.C. 1446. The primary difference between the two statutes is that in the wording of the 1442 statute, the law provides that in the case of federal officers, the federal district court need not otherwise have subject-matter jurisdiction over the type of case presented so long as the federal officer was acting within the scope of the performance of a federal duty, where cases brought under 1446 require the requisite federal subject-matter jurisdiction specifically mentioned in the 1446 statute in order to survive.

Zephyr Teachout a nut job...YES; a Kook? Yes; brain washed, yes! These illeriate people should not be allowed to clutter the election process with their inane agendas...they haven't a clue as to what it takes to keep a state protected from be-headings, honor killings, rapes etc. Teachout seems like the other brain dead Ocasio-Cortez, enjoying their moments of fame, that's all they have other than youth...

Socialists are the gift that keeps on giving. If the GOP had any intelligence - and they don’t - they would already be preparing the ads to feature the anti-ICE statements of Mad Maxine Waters, crazy eyes Cortez, and this latest anti-American nut job. It will be left to the President to do the heavy lifting and drag the pathetically weak GOP congressional delegation across the finish line this November. If the GOP fell in line with the President this year would be an epic landslide.

What a world of difference it will be when Jim Jordan becomes Speaker of the House.

All those bills that have gotten fanny-packed by Ryan will finally see the light of day.

“(I’d mock THIS idiot’s name, too, but just how do you get sillier than “Zephyr Teachout”?).”

It’s Zephyr RAIN Teachout

“Teachout is married to Nick Juliusburger, a software company executive. They live in Clinton, New York”

Nick Juliiusburger, who whodda thunk? And in Clinton, NY. The jokes will write themselves!
