A federal judge in Seattle has granted a temporary restraining order blocking a Texas man from releasing downloadable blueprints for 3D-printed plastic firearms.
U.S. District Court Judge Robert Lasniks ruling Tuesday comes a day after Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed a suit challenging the Trump administrations decision last month to allow Texas gun-rights advocate Cody Wilson to post the blueprints, saying the move would provide broad unregulated access to dangerous weapons.
Ferguson is the lead attorney general in the multistate lawsuit that was filed in federal courts in seven other states, including New York and Oregon, along with the District of Columbia.
The lawsuit challenges the outcome of a 2015 case that began in 2013 when Wilson, head of the nonprofit Defense Distributed, was found to have violated a federal law known as International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), after publishing downloadable plans for 3D-printed guns online. The files were downloaded more than 100,000 times.

how many divisions will he block us with?
Uh.... no he doesn’t.
Leftist judge employs censorship...next is bible burning.
Uh, that ship has sailed, bud.....
The judge might just as well repeal the law of gravity.
That cat’s out of the bag. It’s already been downloaded 1000x over. It’ll just be driven into the dark web and within tight circles.
It’s the INTERNET. The WORLD WIDE WEB.
Yeah. Good luck with that.
Apparently Liberals only oppose prior restraint when Nixon is involved.
Send the blueprints to Kim.com...he is on a rampage for free speech this morning.
Where is this so called “judge” getting the authority to do this?
Um... people already have them. Bit late.
Yeah, the Internet is the one medium where those files will spread like wildfire for the 3D gun files, just like p0rn. I’m guessing that the Google search for it should be ranking in the top 10,000 searches by now unless Google is up to their usual dirty tricks of suppression.
With issues like this and immigration it is like playing judicial Wack-A-Mole. There seems to be no negative consequence to judges issuing national decrees. Why have a legislature?
Translation - Federal judge ignores the 1st Amendment and censors free speech.
Pass it on. We will not submit, we will not comply.
At some point, these self-aggrandized judges simply need to be ignored for the pesky nuisances they’ve become.
