Kavanaugh misled lawmakers under oath in 2006 hearing, says Senate minority whip
The Washington Times ^ | July 31, 2018 | Alex Swoyer

The second-ranking Democrat in the Senate said Tuesday that JudgeBrett Kavanaugh misled senators during his 2006 confirmation hearing, and vowed to make the judge explain himself before winning a seat on the Supreme Court.

Sen. Richard Durbin said JudgeKavanaugh in that earlier hearing denied involvement in crafting the Bush White House’s policy on detainees and enemy combatants caught during the war on terror.

But Mr. Durbin said he now believes JudgeKavanaugh, who had been in the White House counsel’s office and later served as staff secretary to President George W. Bush, was involved in those decisions.

~snip~

Mr. Grassley said he saw no discrepancy between that and JudgeKavanaugh’s testimony, and added that the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Section looked at the allegations in 2006 and couldn’t justify opening an investigation based on the evidence.

“Multiple sources have confirmed that JudgeKavanaugh did not participate in crafting the Bush Administration’s detention and interrogation policies and was not even authorized to know about the tightly compartmentalized detainee treatment policies,” Mr. Grassley said in his letter.

Lying Durbin is grasping at straws, I'll believe Chairman Grassley any day over little Dicky Durban.

Kavenaugh isn’t an honest guy.* But at this point I guess this is our big gamble. And hoping for Ms Notorious’s next nap. I just hold Rand Paul’s hand and wish us all luck.

* he lied to protect the CLINTONS from a murder investigation, of all lies.

Several reliable, anonymous sources confirm Judge Kavanaugh steps on cracks in sidewalks.

“Turbin” Durbin is not an American, even though born here, he’s a socialist/globalist UniParty hack that sympathizes with radical muslims. He’s an enemy of America. A traitor. The insanity runs deep in these types.

Why do you suppose the article repeatedly refers to him as “JudgeKavanaugh” with no between the title and name?

Durbin won’t get anywhere with that.

Kavanaugh’s home also has been found to have several mattresses and pillows missing the “do not remove” tags.

He is in real trouble!

All dems are going to vote against confirmation. The level of their unhappiness with Kavanaugh does not grant them a second “no” vote. Kavanaugh will be approved anyway. So what dems think and say about him are completely irrelevant.

Who drew the straw to claim that Kavanaugh didn't pay taxes for 10 years?

If you think a mid-level bureaucrat was responsible for the final report, you haven't been paying attention.

There's no way the Bushes were going to hold their "other brother" or his wife accountable for anything they did while in the White House.

Even "Hanging Judge" Parker wouldn't have been able to get a conviction. The fix was in.

Good point and great post with a great comedic genius in it. Also George Carlin.
