President Trump on Saturday declared a California emergency after the Carr Fire that became a tornado and roared into Redding killing 2 firefighters, burning 80,906 acres, causing 38,000 evacuations and threatening another 4,978 structures. In recognition that California is at maximum commitment with 10,000 firefighters battling 21 fires, President Donald Trump granted Gov. Brown’s request and issued an emergency declaration Saturday morning. The move authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency to release disaster response equipment and resources, plus authorizes U.S. military personnel and Defense Department assets to be utilized.

Cal Fire reported at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning that 21 major fires are burning in California. The Carr Fire that started Monday morning due to mechanical failure of a vehicle almost doubled in the last 24 hours to about 126 square miles.

Redding Searchlight is reporting that two firefighters died and three have been injured from the Carr Fire. Authorities have also put up police tape around a burst out home where a 70-year old women, her 5-year-old, and 4-year-old great grandsons are feared missing in the Quartz Hill area.

The Searchlight reported that early this morning that more homes are burning northeast of the city due to erratic and unpredictable wind gusts. The combination of thick orange smoke and falling ash is increasing the difficulty fighting the blaze.

Why doesn’t Brown request that all illegals report to Redding to help. Oh, we can’t expect illegals to actually do anything except hold out one hand to aid, and wave the other in a fist and scream “racism”.

It's a bad one! That story about the Great Grand Mother and the two little ones just breaks the heart in two!

With Lake Shasta there, and at a decent level for once, every single scooper plane and heli needs to get moved in from around the country. Let's get that fire out!

Can he also dismiss our governor and appoint a new one? Declare martial law in the interim? (Kidding)

But our state/local governances are in need of major overhaul!

Yes. The job of the government is to provide support to the people of the United states if needed. Even if they are Californians. The area in Northern California is Trump country. I’m just sayin’.

Yeah, moonbeam has plenty of tax $$ to build his bullet train to nowhere, but when push comes to shove, he goes crying to the president he hates. God bless Trump — I don’t know that I would be so lenient.

Northern California and Southern Oregon have tried to secede from their respective states and form the new State of Jefferson for many years. Both states are governed by idiots named Brown. (Nothing against good people who wear the Brown name).

I hope the Administration won’t be holding their collective institutional breath expecting any gratitude from that colossal idiot Brown, his sycophants, or any of the millions of seditious Dhimmcrat creatures infesting that state.

This would have been a good moment to draw a line in the sand

there should be no FEDERAL disaster relief for a sanctuary state. You obey federal laws or pay your own damn bills

Why should the Feds even be involved in disaster relief and programs?

Did San Francisco in 1906 beg the Feds to help after a devastating earthquake? No, they helped themselves and the Mayor said looters would be shot on sight.

Even during the Houston flooding last year the people did it on their own.

I’ll argue that point: It’s morally wrong to provide aid to an enemy who is actively working to destroy you.

Won’t argue that it’s politically wrong to tell California that we won’t reward their perfidy by aiding them in a time of need.

Won’t even argue that this conflagration has some federal culpability in that aggressive enforcement of policies that forced massive quantities of standing fuels to build up over the decades created a situation that drive unnaturally hot and swift burns that simply can’t be extinguished by human means.
