On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Hardball,” host Chris Matthews contrasted President Trump with President Reagan by stating that while Putin said, “Trust, but verify.” Trump asks Putin if he can sit on his lap.
Matthews said, “He [Reagan] was a popular, successful president. He said to Gorbachev, the head of the then-Soviet Union, ‘Trust, but verify.’ Trump says to Putin, can I sit on your lap?”

GDP growth over 4%. Redressing our trade imbalance with other countries. Renewing American military power. Attacking Putin’s monkey-boy Assad in Syria. Cutting a deal with Rocket Boy. Selling more LNG to Europe to cut down Russia’s main source of revenue.
Tell me again how this is all part of Putin’s master plan, Chrissy.
Matthews has been around the “news” and punditry business, like forever. And, he’s the most inconsequential of everybody on TV. No contributions to the industry, but still well-known. Sort of like the Kardashians: no contributions at all to the country or the world, yet, well-known.
Now, he’s relegating himself to uttering pure nonsense in attempts to be noticed, sort of like that school-yard bully that everybody tries to avoid.
What the democrats are really mad about is that Russia & Putin did not Help Hillary exclusively to win. Russia does not care who wins, their main interest is to troll democratic elections in every country.
The only reason the Russians didn’t back Hillary is they could never be sure they were the last highest bidder.
