U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions defended his top deputy Thursday after a handful of congressional Republicans moved this week to impeach him.

Speaking in Boston, Sessions said he has the "highest confidence" in Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and described him as "highly capable" when asked about the impeachment effort.

A group of 11 House conservatives on Wednesday introduced articles of impeachment against Rosenstein, who oversees special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation because Sessions has recused himself.

Yes indeed, that is ridiculous. The only time he gophers his head up above ground is to screw Trump in true Deep State fashion.

Strotz spoke of the insurance policy if Trump won. Is the insurance policy the fake dossier or Jeff Sessions or both?

Jeff Sessions seems to act as a compromised attorney general. Something is not right about this. He recused himself from the investigation. This does not mean he recused himself from overseeing the investigation as an ethical non partisan investigation. He has not done this.

Something stinks in the Attorney Generals office.

And.... I am sure ‘Puddy Tat’ Sessions laughed when his buddies in the House voted to remove his border directive - as though he didn’t know in advance they would do it.

The senate will never convict, you have to have two-thirds and the democrats are not going to do this and you will find significant Republican cowardice as well.

If the Republicans retain the house and pick up senate seats either the theory of Session working behind the scenes and he begins reining hell down on the FBI/DOJ/CIA criminals with criminal indictments and prosecution or Sessions continues on as the James Buchanan of our time and Trump fires him and Rosenstien outright before 2020 or right after that election.

The current Republican senate has no belly for a new AG appointment and Trump will have to force them to fight if he fires Sessions.

If he has removed himself from the investigation, he should not be making comments. This guy is turning out to be like Pontius Pilate, be that he “washed his hands” but is still technically guilty and involved.

Now we know what was behind RR’s smirking demeanor while testifying. He thinks he is untouchable - for now. All the more reason we need Jordan in as Speaker.

...honor should demand he resign.

It does, but I'm sure the Deep State enforcers have already told him that resigning is out of the question. They intend to keep the office of AG in a neutered state.

Meadows has already backed off his impeachment charge. He’s going for the meaningless contempt instead.

After a majority vote by the House to refer, the DOJ (Sessions) decides on whether to prosecute for contempt the deputy he has has confidence in.

It is true that the Senate will never convict.
But the DC elites have big egos.
An impeachment would do 2 things.
Place a big stain on Rosenweasel that will forever taint him
in the history books.
And provide Trump cause to fire Rosenweasel at the time of his choosing.
I don’t know what else can be done.
Sessions is AWOL. Rosenweasel is corrupt.
The result is not a lot of swamp draining is going on at the moment.

To Sessions and the rest of you in gov’t - The stench is reprehensible...an order of sulfur! There is a two trier justice system in this country...seemingly to never be undone. Nobama weaponized the CIA, FBI, DOJ, IRS and many other branches of Govt that still stand with it’s SES leadership intact and no one dares to change it to this day, and our congress, executive and judicial branches let it stand as is to not rock the boat and we the citizens, mashed under the soles of the govts shoes into the ground, are none the wiser, will will just have more sh*t to eat sooner, more often, and heavier weights to carry as a result of the weak ones in govt who where suppose to look out for us but were cowards and could still share in the stolen fruits from our hard work - cowards and thief all of you in Gov’t - a citizen!!!!!!!!!!!
