Napolitano said that Brit intelligence had a hand in the fake Trump dossier (a claim later proven to be true) and he was suspended and made to grovel. The bar for removing appointed officials is much lower. You don’t need a new election. The president simply appoints a replacement. The congress can remove anyone they want other than president and vice president any time they want for any reason they want.
