Let's be clear.

Black players started this before Trump was running for President.

The owners dropped the ball when they refused to put their foot down and enforce their own rule about players making political statements during games.

It is problematic for the owners as they will lose a lot of money as will the phony networks. I wiz on them all.

BLM founded on a lie, the Gentle Giant was a martyr

Pissing on the USA and Whitey not just once but
every week

The same people who buy tickets and gear that pays their huge salaries

Ignoring the black on black holocaust in inner cities and blaming
others for their social ills despite multi-$T in subsidies

Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones will not bend
on his edict that his players will stand for the national anthem,

*****************

This should not even be an issue. It is and now the NFL will have
to solve the problem by inserting a version of the NBA Rule about
decorum during the playing of the anthem. It should not have been
an issue in the NFL but they failed many years ago by not having
it in their rules.

It’s problematic for NFL ratings, not Trump’s ratings.

Jerry has bigger problems he should be trying to resolve — like winning football games — instead of worrying about Trump and the National Anthem.

The reason the owners want to keep the players riled up over the National Anthem issue,is because they know that the NFLPA is Roger Goodell's poodle. If the players ever actually decided to hire a REAL Union leader, they know they'd have to give guaranteed contracts, no Thursday after Sunday games, pay for ACTUAL CTE research, etc.

NFL players have been coddled ever since the first time they played peewee football. They've been playing in front of thousands of adoring fans their whole lives (as opposed to MLB or NHL players who had to ride buses in the minors). They have no basic living skills, and most are broke 2 years after they retire.

Hah. I didn’t know Jerry Jones was idiotic. But he is.

The Flag and the National Anthem are our official national symbols, by law. Our nation, which they represent, is based on the Constitution, nothing more, nothing less.

The President has to defend the Constitution. By law. The Flag and the Anthem represent the Constitution.

He’s just doing the job the nation elected him to do.

The Constitution is amended. The 13th amendment is part of the Constitution, therefore, the Constitution, our nation, along with its symbols, Flag and The Anthem, represent abolishment of slavery. The framers made the Constitution amendable therefore they are included in this honor. They knew they were not perfect and made allowances.

Freedom of expression in the first amendment guarantees that these people who protest our nation are not violating the law, and that may or may never be up for debate for the future, but they are not protected by the Constitution they protest (the 1st amendment) from the effects of their actions such as public and free market disapproval.

The NFL has been masquerading as a patriotic organization since the very beginning.

Now, we all see that this is nothing but a cynical lie. That they don't care at all about the country, and they are beholden to lefties who hate the USA and everything we stand for.

People do not like being played for fools.

We will not forget.

Jerry has always been a two faced @$$hole.
Trump didn’t cause that and he would still be one regardless.
He has earned and assiduously maintains that reputation even outside of people who care about sports.

No news here.

Bears repeating. The NFL already had rules that pertained to this and choose NOT to follow them. They have fined players $50,000 for tape on their helmets...

But, they let it get out on hand and now they are paying the price...

I’m ready to edge back into NFL watching. I love watching professional football. But I swear one disrespectful act, one stupid thug protest, one appeasement towards these overpaid coddled punks, and I’m gone forever. Just enforce the recent rule and play football. You have the other days of the week and the off season to protest anything you want, but leave game day alone and stand for the anthem of the greatest country ever conceived on this earth!

Let the overpaid athletes do whatever they want ... the consumer has the choice to validate or void their choice. I haven’t wasted money or time on pro sports in the last 50 years. The same can be said for Hollywood ... the only movie I’ve paid to see in the last 20 years was Lone Survivor.
