You leave your job, you lose your accesses, clearances, etc. should have happened immediately upon walking out the door.
“That is exactly what you see in authoritarian regimes.
Come on, Adam. Give us one example.
IMO, the key word is “FORMER”.
I don’t have the keys to any place I FORMERLY worked.
This is even more important.
Obama & Hillary also should NOT have security clearances.
What you see in authoritarian regimes when you accuse the Dear Leader of treason is a loss of more than security clearance.
Authoritarian regimes also breathe air and drink water. Sorry, Adam, you will need to make the positive case as to why these people need to retain their security clearances. Scare words aren’t going to cut it.
If Trump was an authoritarian His enemies would be dead. You dummy!
We don’t get anything past ol’ Schiff for brains.
No, Schiff-for-brains, what we see is the correcting of an institutional wrong. Those that leave a billet requiring access to classified information no longer have the NEED TO KNOW. Their clearances should be deactivated just like everyone else. Those that incite sedition should have their clearance eligibility revoked with prejudice then prosecuted.
No,... what you see in “authoritarian regimes” is what Obama and HilLIARy did, using the FBI, CIA, and IRS to target political enemies, with the help of political stooges like you.
Hey, Schiff, go work for a defense contractor, get canned, and lose your clearance; then see how you like them apples.
Happens all the time in the defense industry.
Once again the Dems fail to understand the people. Most people would question why they need clearances after they leave the government payroll. The media anticipated this which is why major Garrett and the rest have all sung the same non convincing tune - They NEED to retain them because they are OFTEN asked for their ADVICE. Which again is unbelievable because everyone know that Trump would not seek advice from unhinged Clapper or commie Brennan.
I just wish that these liars would get a taste of a real authoritarian gov. Somehow I think if they keep up their antics they may.
Schiff is a Deep State operative.
A record number of CIA operatives are running for Congress as Democrats.
Taking away security clearance from someone who doesn’t need it is hardly authoritarian. If it harms that individual IN ANY WAY (i.e. he can no longer monetize it), then that individual is misusing the clearance and should be in prison.
Authoritarians do things like
* Create DACA without congress
* Subsidize their favorite private companies when the courts and congress say they aren’t allowed to. (Obama’s health subsidies)
* Delay implementation of legislation beyond the date congress told them to it was to be implemented and against the wishes of congress (parts of Obamacare)
* Ship lots of cash to terrorists because electronic funds transfers are too difficult.
* Allow the IRS to target opponents.
* Encourage rioting and anti-law-enforcement attitudes
I was in the USAF during Vietnam, working in Air Force Intelligence (back then it was USAFSS). I had a Top Secret security clearance. When I separated (i.e., discharged) my security clearance ceased.
The same should go with Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and countless others who are no longer in government, unless they are contractors doing government work and their job requires it. Being a partisan hack on liberal TV shows does not fit that criteria.
If the President of the United States does not trust a given individual, he needs no reason beyond his judgment to revoke a security clearance or dismiss them from their duties.
Wrong, Schiff... but your penchant for leaking is what we see in “Seven Habits of Highly Irritating Snitches.”
