I grew up in the high deserts of southeastern Montana, I know exactly how fast fires can move. In 88 I had to drive through West Yellowstone when nearly the entire park was burning down forming a Cumulonimbus flammagenitus cloud that looked like the devil's own anvil so high that it injected smoke into the stratosphere.
