The lib media do this for all dEMOCRATS. They, in close cooperation with the democrat party, decide on the false image they want to create, and then do it. Fake narratives are broadcast. The candidate is brought to the talking female TV shows for coronation. News events that support the narrative are hyped. Those that prove it to be false are completely suppressed.
Soft questions are asked. Praise and adulation are the norm. A brain-dead public, trained to lap up lies, internalizes the image.
For Republicans and other normal people, meetings decide which false statements about the candidate are going to be placed in the mind of the public. The lies are reinforced by news readers, firmly in the hand of the democrats, and by the printed press, which sends its reporters to the candidate’s third grade teachers to ask if the candidate ever said something sexist or racist.
Back in the early 80s I worked for a MA newspaper which did a similar piece for Barney Frank.
Frank wasn’t totally new, but he was unknown. He had obviously decided to make a play for a bigger role in national politics and the newspaper obliged with a puff piece.
They gushed over his brilliant mind, his sharp wit, and his blistering power in debate. They acknowledged that Frank had, at one time, been overweight and slovenly, but now he was in the gym constantly, had lost weight, bought a new wardrobe and was looking sharp. The ladies of Washington were noticing the hunky new Barney Frank and he was clearly going to go on and change the world.
It rang totally false and I had never even heard of the guy before.

true...the woman is two months older than myself, and while I grant she keeps herself trim, I can guarantee that she has nowhere near the vigor of a person just ten years younger...
