More than 150 military families say a Jacksonville-based moving company made their move a disaster, complaining of delays and ruined belongings.
Action News Jax first exposed complaints on Thursday about military families spending weeks stranded without their belongings after the military assigned Suddath Relocation Systems to be their mover.

A group of about 150 people have joined a Facebook group within the past month to vent their frustrations about Suddath military moves.

NO excuse ...I hope the families sue ...treated worse than illegals
Great story!
Did household goods dept go back to lowest bidder? I did one move during the lowest bidder fiasco... fuhglee move... I not only called the transportation officer but the local police!
The delivery vehicle driver at the destination was a private contractor & his modus operandi was to go to some corner someplace and pick up a couple of grunts. Well the grunts rebelled during the day - moving my household goods between a variety of three floors... sat down on the front yard, demanded chicken, or they were not going to work anymore. I’m at the new house... I have no vehicle, I have no phone yet, I have nothing - except a neighbor who asked me if I wanted to use his phone at which point I called the transportation officer and the local police.
“I said that miraculously , I found my car parked on a street side in N. Charleston. Since I had a key and a title I drove it home. Lot guy screamed I Stole it off his lot. Cop looks a title and informs guy that I cant steal my own car. No further action taken.”
That’s a great story, and I salute you on showing outstanding individual initiative.
Low bidder and/or minority owned company = stranded families.
Maybe time the military stops moving people around as much. There are plenty of enlisted, just do a bit of job reassignment.
Low bidder.
Moved 6 times in eight years...that moved me out of my beloved Corps.
Longevity breeds complacency, which gets people killed.
Why is it the majority of the working world, stays working for one outfit, and does it for 20+ years to collect pension and perks ?
