WASHINGTON The Trump administration has disclosed a previously top-secret set of documents related to the wiretapping of Carter Page, the onetime Trump campaign adviser who was at the center of highly contentious accusations by Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee that the F.B.I. had abused its surveillance powers.

The warrant goes into some detail on the Buryakov case starting on page 13. It is also interesting how they describe Source #1 (Steele) and the way they fudged who paid for the ops research claiming it was a law firm and not mentioning the DNC or Hillary.
The Nunes report did a good job of describing what was in the FISA application. It is worth reading the application itself to see how the FBI with the assistance of the DNI and CIA lied and by omission, created a trumped up document to spy on the Trump campaign and transposition teams, as well as a sitting President. The redactions need to be removed to get the full picture. Trump should order it.
Even in the few pages which aren’t blacked out you can see that Candidate #1=Trump was there real target in the FISA application.
Remember, it’s Trump who released it and Trump who redacted it. Keeps the water chummed.
White House CYA
Judicial Watch was one of the parties along with the NYT that filed the FOIA request. You can bet Tom Fitton (JW) will produce a detailed evaluation of the data provided.
It is highly likely Page was employed by, or working with, the CIA/FBI when he opened up his own business 10 years ago.
Ridiculous reactions.
I read through most of what was there. Basically, the FBI claiming to the court that Carter Page was an agent of Russia and acted illegally because Christopher Steele said he secretly met with a Putin ally in Moscow and then news reports said that he tried to change the Republican Party platform to make it softer on Russia. Unless there are bombshells underneath the redactions, it’s just as we’ve all though: the whole Russia collusion hoax is based on complete crap, at best an attempt to transform a policy debate into an espionage/criminal issue, and at worst, just an attempt to use the national security state to find dirt on Trump. There ought to be long prison sentences if not firing squads for everyone who put their name on this document.
The date redactions are going to be important info.
Looking for my decoder.
"There has been speculation in the U.S. media that the Russian Government was behind the hack."
and
"during a recent interview with an identified news organization..."
That's just based on a preliminary skim. Looks like this may be as we have been told. Hillary and the deepies planted stories in the media then used those stories as the basis for this warrant.
AND THE JUDGE WENT FOR IT.
Amazing.
Bagster
I guarantee the most relevant fact is NOT in this document. Namely, Carter Page was an FBI informant.
They planted their guy in the campaign and then fraudulently obtained a FISA warrant so they could “legally” wiretap everyone Page talked to.
I just want to see it admitted and dealt with.
Time for the president to unredact it.
if you read the initial application, it absolutely conceals any links to the Clinton campaign. The initial application is all Steele Dossier. There is no other evidence against Page.
Says Source #1 (Steele) is working for US Person #1 (Simpson) who is working to discredit the campaign of Candidate #1 (Trump).
Only in later applications for the renewal is the connection to the Clinton campaign revealed.
No wonder Democrats didn’t want this made public !
As I read it the first and second submissions were for 90 days. The third for sixty days. The fourth once again for 90 days. Why the sixty days?
“Whole lotta black, but a case for Page being an agent of Russia.”
Funny that since Carter Page had worked for the FBI not much earlier.
Only in the US, can UK intelligence obtain Kremlin intel about an American citizen paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC and be issued a warrant for massive spying on him and those two clicks away.
Those two clicks mean everyone on the Trump campaign.
Nope. This one was from a Judicial Watch suit.
DOJ had control of redactions
