Many are still fighting with each other over whether or not a certain character should have been killed off in a comic series and no longer speaking to a former friend who disagreed. Absurd.

I gladly admit to reading and enjoying a lot of science fiction as well but as I grew older that waned.

I enlisted in the Air Force right out of high school and my duties were so all-consuming and technical that even science fiction became boring. I turned more and more to all sorts of history for my enjoyment.

As an aside, by the time I was in Junior High School I was reading about the Soviet Union and Russia prior to Communism. As I watched the evening news and read the newspapers I started making then connection between the Communists and the Democrats. This was back in the early 70's yet I saw how their propaganda was nearly identical. I became a conservative at a very young age because of my reading many books on history.
