A CVS customer snub initially characterized as a racial incident now appears to be more complicated than that.
An Edgewater resident who was at CVS when a white manager called the police on a black woman after rejecting her coupon, says customer Camilla Hudson was “going off loudly,” refusing to leave, and following the other manager when he went into the employee-only part of the store.
On Friday, Hudson, 53, posted on Facebook the now-viral video of CVS employee Morry Matson calling the police to remove her from the CVS Pharmacy at 6150 N. Broadway. “I had the police called on me for attempting to use a coupon @ the CVS Pharmacy located at 6150 N. Broadway in Chicago!” she said in her post which has received national media attention and nearly half-million views on Facebook.
“I was there looking for a snack, and suddenly I hear this woman yelling, she raised her voice, was yelling at the manager ‘Is this what you consider customer service?'” Jordan said.
Jordan said Hudson created a scene. “I was very uncomfortable, the other customer that was standing there with me, she looked uncomfortable,” Jordan said. “It’s being reported that they called [police] because of a coupon, that’s just not it.”

Was it? Did she print it out herself or was it cut out from a professionally printed source that was authorized (and paid for) by the manufacturer?
That was unclear in the article, unless my reading comprehension is lacking.

Yeah, from the start I didn’t understand why in the world she would think it’s racial. Maybe it’s a fake coupon, maybe it’s not, but that doesn’t make it all about race, lady. I watched the video last week of him shaking - she must have gone totally Whoopi on him, but where’s that part?
I would worry about that. It sounds like an attempt to present her self as what she thinks conservatives want to hear.
We don't hate people on the basis of their race, religion or country of origin, but we do not want more socialist minded people immigrating into this country.
I personally don't want any Swedes or anyone from Western Europe either. They are nuts, and there is no reason we should want to let them come here to soil our nest the way they have soiled theirs.
At the moment, the only people i'm interested in seeing immigrate here are people from Eastern Europe or even Russia. People who have suffered under socialism know best why we shouldn't have it here.

I thought you were in New York, but from what I've read, New Jersey is just as costly. It seems like everyone in government is just trying to milk people for as much as they can get out of them.
I own a home in NJ and rent an apt. in NYC. I have lived full-time in NYC for over 35 years. (As a renter - I never could afford to own in Manhattan.) Just to be clear, my FRiend.

And they would rather fire two white managers than have a "woman of color" go on accusing them of being racists?
All company rules must be firmly enforced unless a person of color complains about them.
Oh, I agree about the Brits. The UK has lost it's F***ing mind! Europe has decided to commit suicide, and it's population has become brain dead stupid. They are stuck on socialism/pacifism/diversity insanity, and I predict that there will be much weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth in their future.

I'd think that CVS would have something a bit more professional looking.
A CVS opened a few years ago, just a few blocks from our home. My wife got a bunch of coupons from them and decided to use some. When she got to the checkout, NONE of the coupons were honored. There was always some restriction in the fine print on the back (and I do mean FINE print — it could not be read without a magnifier). My wife left everything there and has never been back.
