After an NFL season of flag-dissing protests and kneeling during the national anthem that left fans furious, and slammed TV ratings, one League team announced a tough new policy to shut it down.
And some players are angry, claiming the announcement "blind-sided" them.
On Thursday afternoon, it was reported that the NFL’s Miami Dolphins will suspend and/or fine players who protest during the national anthem.

I recall on the wrestling show, the audience chanted a-hole, a-hole, a-hole at Vince McMahon. That needs to be repeated loudly to these useless kneelers, until they are shamed off the playing field!

Eventually, maybe. But I agree with you. Many people, myself included, turned off and found other stuff to do on a Sunday.
I found some of that other activity more fun. Our family is far away from a TV on Sundays now. I don't think I will ever be glued to the games as I once was.
But for the record....I'm still not watching. Last year was the first time in decades I did not watch the Super Bowl.
1st strike = 8 game suspension + no pay
2nd strike = 1 year suspension + no pay
3rd strike = NFL ban for life
I would not mess around with all that.
1st announcement: If you kneel or show any disrespect during the national anthem, you won't play.
2nd Announcement: You did it. We warned you. No more field time for you this season. Suit up and enjoy the bench.

The camera crews and mixer crews in the truck already have several years of experience with hiding the missing fans thanks to NUTSCAR screwing the Pooch. Between cardboard cutout fans and CGI they fix it.
Hell at this years Daytona 500 when Dale Jr gave to command to start engines NUTSCAR made Him lie on live TV that the race was “sold out” and that was a blatant lie.

I’m not excusing them but it seems like nowadays EVERYONE feels compelled to break the old rule of not discussing religion or politics at work. I doubt many on FR go in to work and have spirited debates about abortion, gun control, or the Franco-Prussian Alliance of 1821. Yet we have maniacs in the US accosting co-workers and customers over MAGA hats, the border, etc. What ever happened to shutting up and singing?
They also should start a Hispanic league for baseball...half the players need an interpreter to converse in English...disgusting
