Michael Jackson WAS a dancin’ machine! That young man had some moves.

Hadn’t heard that Jackie Wilson tune before. Likey lots!

Great music! We have similar taste.

"Harlem Shuffle" (Bob & Earl - original version) (Ah, memories of the Bamboo Hut on Galveston beach)

"Tighten Up" (Archie Bell & the Drells)

It was nice of him! Got waked up by the doorbell ringing letting us know a package had been left. My guard cat did jump on the bed and growl, warning me. Good boy!

I hope the storms coming through there aren’t the ones that caused tornadoes in Iowa and a duck boat to capsize near Branson. Rough weather in the middle of the country today.

Fiji Hill, this Dovells song you posted ("Bristol Twistin' Annie") sounds like a play on words with "Pistol Packin' Mama".

Also, it looks like that version of "Shake A Tail Feather" you posted in #56 was the original version.   It sounded good!

Very cool. Didn’t realize you were posting tunes. That’s what I get for getting stuck in my ping page. LOL!

Yes, Michael Jackson was a great dancer who was inspired by Jackie Wilson.

Hadn’t heard that Jackie Wilson tune before.

It was a hit in '63. I haven't heard it in a long time, so I was glad to hear it played.

Ooooooh, so Peaches is a tough guy, is he? Or a big chicken like some of ours are when the doorbell rings and they growl. LOL!

The system that wreaked havoc in IA and MO today is the one coming through here tomorrow. We’re keeping appendages crossed for luck that we don’t get clobbered too hard but it’s a good bet some folks will be.

Believe it or not, Senator John McCain once said that "Dancing Queen" by ABBA is his favorite song. A far cry from the Number One song on the day he was born, "Until the Real Thing Comes Along."

Yours are great too, CovenBuster!

And that "Jitterbug Stroll" dance you linked in post #143 was fun to watch, and it looked like they were having even more fun doing it!

That was just a touch before my R&R time. The Beatles dragged me away from kids’ diddies into the world of R&R.
Didn’t get into ‘50s and early ‘60s music until later and there’s still a lot that I’ve missed .... like that tune.

Love the Andrews Sisters!

Bette Midler did a good version of that song, too. From an album I used to have (and is probably still around here somewhere)...

"Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy"
