Millennials outraged after baseball team advertises 'Millennial Night' (TR)

If I say lover of naps, “selfies” and participation ribbons, you would say . . . Millennials?

According to one Alabama minor league baseball team, those are the pillars of life for people born between the 1980s and early 2000s, along with avocados, craft beer and safe spaces.

n an effort to bring younger fans to the ballpark, the Montgomery Biscuits are hosting "Millennial Night" this weekend, but their advertising on social media set off an eruption of mixed feedback from the very group they’re trying to attract.

The Tampa Bay Rays’ Double-A affiliate, currently with a record of 15-11, tweeted last week: “Want free things without doing much work? Well you're in luck! Riverwalk Stadium will be millennial friendly on Saturday, July 21, with a participation ribbon giveaway just for showing up, napping and selfie stations, along with lots of avocados.”

Here in California they’d be the Soggy Biscuits.

Ehhh...

It’s the “Outrage du jour”.

Tomorrow, their estrogen levels will be boiling over about something else.

It’ll pass.

I prefer that term as well. Generation Z should be the Millennials, they were the ones born closest to the year 2000 after all.

They should advertise that. But the meltdown has to be displayed on the jumbotron.

I frankly don’t care. Enough of us old timers are left to hold things together for a bit. Then we will die off and the milenials will be in charge. They’ll create hell on earth with their stupidity. I’d care about the kids, but my two nephews are millennial pukes despite my best efforts. Given up on them. If you have decent kids, nephews, or nieces, please try to teach them basic survival skills. But as for most millennialist? They deserve what they are bringing in their ignorance, laziness, and stupidity.

Sorry for the typos. Got bit by autocorrect. <- Blaming someone else for my mistakes and failures; ah heck have I turned into a millennial?

Millennials would cringe to find out that back in the day Avocados were only available as a seasonal fruit.

The Montgomery BISCUITS??? How did they come up with that ‘mascot’??

We love biscuits down here! I read that during the games they shoot free biscuits into the crowd.

LOL...exactly. The way I see it, someone is only a millennial in the fullest sense of the word if they act like it!

Otherwise...yer just a millennial!
