No communique was issued following the Trump-Putin summit in Helsinki, underlining the off-the-cuff informal diplomacy in which Donald Trump specialises. The absence of an agreed statement leaves secret the status and extent of any practical agreements reached either between the US president and his Russian counterpart or in the later wider meeting between officials.
But in the two leaders joint press conference on Monday, subsequent interviews and briefings, the outlines of some agreements emerged...

I note that the guardian is whining about not knowing what was agreed to, but they are perfectly fine with Obama’s secret Iran agreements.
If the press gave Obama the same scrutiny that Trump is getting...........
Agreement? Perhaps...
Discussion? Perhaps...
Starting a dialog? Most assuredly.
What actually occurred in Helsinki is best described as the beginning of a process between two large nations. The opposition and the press wish to convey that they prefer knee-jerk reactionism and bumper sticker logic.
In Africa, they have a saying - “When two elephants fight, even the grass is disturbed”

Lots of noise about President Trump not scolding Putin for doing what all nations do. Nothing about the topics you listed. They could’ve done some real good stuff that leads toward peace and the media and the maniacs would’ve been blinded by having something to be outraged about.
Why does the Public think that a discussion between two world leaders is Public Information. That’s insane.
I note that the guardian is whining about not knowing what was agreed to, but they are perfectly fine with Obamas secret Iran agreements.

Get over it, libs.
Funny how they (pretend to) expect Trump to scold Putin, while giving a pass to 0 and other Presidents.
Now they want to haul the interpreters in the meeting before Congress to testify.
I guess congress thinks they control the legislative, judicial, AND the executive branch.
Hell, Sinky, Bump.
I would add Iran to the top of that list.
(Iran was touched on under the topics of Israel and Syria, probably more than was indicated in the after-interviews)
I noticed a headline late last night that Iran has bumped production of rotors or something centrifuge related; not holding my breath on EU reaction.
