Four teenagers pleaded guilty to manslaughter Monday in the death of a Michigan father who was killed when a rock was thrown from an overpass onto his car and the teens are expected to testify against a fifth defendant at his upcoming trial, according to multiple reports.
Kyle Anger, 17, Alexander Miller, 15, Trevor Gray, 15, Mikaydn Payne, 16, and Mark Sekelsky, 16, were all charged as adults with second-degree murder along with 10 other criminal counts in the Oct. 2017 death of Kenneth White, who was 32.
According to WXYZ.com, all five defendants appeared in court on Monday. Miller, Payne, Sekelsky, and Gray agreed to the plea deal, but Anger refused it.
The station reports that the four suspects who accepted the deal agreed to cooperate with prosecutors, and will testify against Anger at his trial.
Anger has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for next week, court records show.
White died after a rock weighing 6 lbs. allegedly thrown by Anger from a highway overpass crashed through the windshield of a van he was a passenger in.
The rock hit him in the head and chest; he sustained skull fractures and severe brain injuries.
Under the terms of the plea deal, the second-degree murder charge against the four defendants was reduced to manslaughter and the 10 other charges were dropped.
A judge will have to sign off on the plea deal and will sentence the teens. A date for that hearing has not yet been set, reports WDIV.
Whites family told WNEM they are unhappy about Mondays plea deal.
They will never understand the pain and anguish theyve caused, said Whites aunt, Nancy Jobe.

That’s how they come dressed for court?
We’re screwed if the next gen is full of those.
When guys get out together, there’s a danger of them disconnecting their brain and doing very bad things.
You hate to see them go down for something like this, but that’s exactly what is called for here.
These guys should do hard time.
As for the one holding out, good luck fella. The judge isn’t going to be too happy with you.
“Teens”
Here's the guy who threw the rock, Kyle Anger. Five pieces of white trash who should have known better.
This is a complete waste of many, many lives: the victim and these five punks who killed him. The family of the victim must deal with this loss forever. It was not robbery. I wasn't burglary. There was no monetary gain. It was pure hellishness.
Attend a school board meeting and ask.
Then run for the school board and kick ass.
White “Teens”.
Scum knows no color.
Off to prison. Especially the rock-thrower.
Teens now adays have access to so much info, so they know these stunts and foolish actions have been done before and can kill people yet every day more teens do the same foolish actions, and more innocent people are killed or hurt. They usually say they didn’t mean to hutr anyone, but that van’t be true because they know what they are doing is wrong. I’m saddened to see teens do these sorts of things but I can’t feel sorry for them at all.
I couldn’t figure that out either. And the guy with his prison orange shirt!? (Or perhaps that actually is a prison shirt - that’s the guy that threw the rock and wouldn’t plead guilty.)
“Teens now adays have access to so much info...”
As kids we used to throw 3/4-inch crab apples at cars. Every once in awhile a driver would get out and chase us through the backyards. I suppose we could have caused an accident or a guy chasing us die of a heart attack.
That sort of stuff ended by the sixth grade though.

Coerced the followers to nail the rock thrower?
Did all 4 of the followers say: “Yeah, let’s do this!” Or did at least one have reservations about the idiocy?
Won’t try to second guess what is appropriate for these jokers.
But what I see on those 4 young faces is that they realize that their teenage life ( the best years for most of us) is over. Nearly before it began.
What waste, utter pointless waste.
Well, if your name is ‘Anger’, you’re probably not going to grow up very happy.
In their minds, anyway.

Years ago not too far from where I live a 26 year old guy was throwing rocks from an overpass to the freeway below. He was stopped and held for the police by a vietnam veteran. The veteran remarked, “At 21 years old I was serving my country in Vietnam. At age 26 this guy is throwing rocks off a bridge “
I’m surprised their lawyer didn’t tell them to wear something decent, and believe it or not a judge will make a comment about someone’s appearance in court if he’s particularly cranky that day.
