Actually, the Yellowstone Caldera is massive in size.

If it did blow out, there would be massive death and destruction.

About 3/4ths of the U. S. could be uninhabitable.

Planetary temperatures would be impacted seriously.

Fertile farmland could be very negatively impacted. The food supply could be threatened seriously.

I know it sounds as if it’s one of those “we’re all gonna die” situations we all laugh about, but this could be a possibility.

There could be a lot more of those giant Idaho potatoes that they haul around on a flatbed trailer. I’d be in french fry heaven.

Libs would be ecstatic because a goodly fraction of the root cause of earth’s problems would be exterminated. Some libs would be unhappy with the loss of their best ski areas, though.

Yellowstone has a history of many more small eruptions than the three majors which it’s famous for.
