President Donald Trump insisted Tuesday he trusted the United States intelligence agencies, as he cleaned up his remarks from Monday’s press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Let me begin by saying that once again the full faith and support for America’s intelligence agencies…I have full faith and support for America’s greatest intelligence agencies. I always have,” Trump said.
The White House lights went out after Trump spoke, sparking him to joke that it might be the intelligence agencies messing with the power.
“Whoops, they just turned off the lights,” he joked. “That must be the intelligence agencies.”
Heavy thunderstorms hit Washington, DC on Tuesday afternoon, possibly explaining the loss in power. The White House lost power for only a few seconds before it was restored.

I have faith in the Intel Agencies now. But have absolutely no faith in the leadership of the intel agencies during Obama’s administration.
Remember how a team of rogue anti-Trump FBI agents and lawyers took over FBI headquarters, and that Obama had placed members of his team in charge of every intelligence agency. With that lineup of anti-Trumpers, how is it that Mueller can’t “prove” anything he wants.
And don’t forget most of the anti-Trump FBI agents worked on the Mueller investigation at one time or another. It seems obvious the entire Mueller team is biased against the President.This Russian collusion stuff stinks.
That was a deep state wink to Trump letting him know that he is surrounded by treasonous scum who watch his every move.
There are no coincidences. Not after watching what they have done to Trump since before the election.... I’m over the Rubicon on this stuff.
One sunny day in 2018, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he’d been sitting on a park bench.
He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, “I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton.”

The man thanked him and again walked away.
The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same Marine, saying “I would like to go in and meet with President Hillary Clinton.”
The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, “Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mrs. Clinton. I’ve told you already several times that Mrs. Clinton is not the President and doesn’t reside here. Don’t you understand?”
The old man answered, “Oh, I understand you fine. I just love hearing your answer!”
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, “See you tomorrow.
At one point he said he trusted HIS intelligence team. He didn’t say it each time, but the point was made.
I still think he should have let it ride. It was showing more of their true colors.
Ha! President Trump is listening to Scott Adams.
A few nights ago, Adams said that Trump should tell Putin that if he acts up, he’ll blink the lights on and off in Moscow.
You can be sure that his “lights out” was another trolling of the media and intelligence agencies. Love it!

And one time, the Presidential seal dropped off the podium and rolled away. Seems it just couldn’t take the lies any longer.
I don’t trust the “intelligence” agencies as far as I can throw them.
Having said that, I do not trust the Russians one single bit! They are not our friends and they are out to do us harm; GRU, FSU you name it. We would be absolute idiots to operate in a fantasy world believing otherwise.

:-) Thanks, PP. Thought the timing to be suspicious. For a moment the room was in total darkness. Not that many there would have noticed! They seldom notice the obvious, do they?

You’re welcome .. I remember laughing about it at the time and some saying it was a harbinger of doom for him. Then he won again.
All of that is true. However the US is superior to Russia in every way - economics, military, etc. They need to get along with the US to stay a major player and both countries can do a lot of good in removing worldwide threats.
They may well have meddled in the election, but they are not alone. In my opinion the greatest threat is China. They have stolen huge amounts of military, space, and technology secrets and their spies are buried deep into our government and industry.
Frankly I suspect it is China who hacked the DNC computers and they were able make it look like Russia or some other. They have been known to do that before. Remember a few years ago when they shut down Wall Street by cyber means and then apologized says a mistake had been made.
