San Francisco Mayor London Breed, in her first one-on-one interview since taking office, said homeless advocacy groups that receive funding from the city need to better educate the homeless to "clean up after themselves."
"I work hard to make sure your programs are funded for the purposes of trying to get these individuals help, and what I am asking you to do is work with your clients and ask them to at least have respect for the community — at least, clean up after themselves and show respect to one another and people in the neighborhood," Breed told the Investigative Unit, referencing her conversations with nonprofit groups aimed at serving the homeless.
When pressed about whether her plan calls for harsher penalties against those who litter or defecate on city streets, Breed said "I didn’t express anything about a penalty." Instead, the mayor said she has encouraged nonprofits "to talk to their clients, who, unfortunately, were mostly responsible for the conditions of our streets."

Hey- like with everything else in life,you get what you put up with. Attract and tolerate s**t people-you get s**t. The choice has always been clear-civilization or standards. So you’re going to provide a far better shelter for someone than they had while they were on the street a month or 3 months and that will be punishment? While I was still in the service, we used to call that a cot and three hots a day. Who’s going to pay for this. And when the homeless find out how much better and safer it is, they are going to line up to defecate on the police station grounds or other public patrolled areas. Which means right in front of the public as that’s why it is patrolled. And more will be coming to join the ones that are there for the freeby.
No, the closest to a simple solution is building metal bathrooms (outhouses) on street corners and letting them use them to shoot up or go. Then you bring in a hazmet team and clean them out daily at night. Costs less than housing them. Helps centralize the locations.
What ever happened to devils island? Escape from New York, maybe, wasn’t such a bad idea. Come to think of it, the movie was also in a liberal controlled state. What a shock.
