Rep. Marsha Blackburn is meeting resistance from wealthy Republican donors in Tennessee, an establishment-oriented crowd more comfortable with former Gov. Phil Bredesen, the conservative firebrands Democratic opponent in the states competitive, closely watched Senate race. Republican financiers, titans of industry in Tennessee, are still gloomy about the retirement of Sen. Bob Corker, a conservative pragmatist. Many are sitting on their wallets as the crucial, 100-day mark to the midterm elections approaches. After a lifetime raising millions of dollars for GOP causes and candidates, some are even donating to Bredesen, whom they view as a centrist who will buck Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. Hes been somebody who is not partisan who gets things done. That appeals to me and to many other Republicans. We want somebody who is not an ideologue and not going to be partisan, Tom Cigarran, a veteran GOP donor in Nashville, told the Washington Examiner Friday in a telephone interview. Marsha Blackburn just isnt that. She does not have a record of doing anything other than being a partisan ideologue.

Why are you looking at polls from 3 months ago?
The latest poll in this race has Marsha +14.
A poll released by Axios-Survey Monkey on Tuesday July 11 shows that Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) leads Democrat Phil Bredesen by 14 points in the U.S. Senate general election, 55 percent to 41 percent among registered voters.
Among likely voters, Blackburns lead over Bredesen is even greater, 58 percent to 40 percent.
THIS 👆🏻
Yeah... I am absolutely confused by the “we are dooooooomed” posts on this thread.
The only poll putting Bredesen with a “double-digit” lead was from Middle TN State back in MARCH.
Mason-Dixon had it +3 for the Rat in APRIL.
The last poll on this race was the Axios poll on TUESDAY. Which shows Marsha +14 She’s +18 if you look on at likely voters.
I am flabbergasted as to why anyone would make the absurd claim that she is behind by double-digits.
Sowing seeds of doubt and impending defeat. Not everyone on FR is a pro-Trump conservative.
Probably an accurate description, except Corker is no conservative.
I can remember when it was a RAT state.
And AlGore was a senator.
And some other RAT senator. I can’t remember his name,
but he ended up being an ambassador to Chine when he got
his butt beat.
A it IS A LOCK FOR BLACKBURN and B who cares the Democrats will be desyroyed to a man and woman. None will be able to offer any reason to vote against Trump yes Trump because Trump will make this a refferendum on him
That meams doom for the evil donkey
You are just a shrill for the never trumpers.
Agreed! This poster is always posting anti-Trump propaganda.
Considering the margin Trump won Tennessee by, I don’t see why Blackburn (who fully supports Trump) would lose to an anti-Trump.
Bredesen, Corker, Marx.........Difference = 0
Thanx for your post! Feel better already. Hoping for multi-state wipeout of Demwits come November.

” Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. Hes been somebody who is not partisan who gets things done”
Lost me at that one! I guess “obstruct, obstruct, obstruct” is getting something done?
I still think AZ will stay Republican. Kyrsten Sinema is running largely unopposed so she is campaigning for the general election now. Meanwhile Kelly Ward, Martha McSally, and Joe Arpaio are slugging it out in the primary.
Once the Republican winner starts campaigning for the general election people will learn Sinema is bisexual and that will turn off a lot of independents. Ward or McSally will win but Sheriff Joe has no chance.
For what it’s worth, I’ve seen more Bredesen commercials than Blackburn commercials. Also Bredesen yard signs.
To be sure, both have only token opposition in the primary.
Governor’s race appears very competitive - Diane Black/Randy Boyd/Bill Lee/Beth Harwell on the GOP side, I guess Karl Dean on the Dem side, plus a slew of Libertarians and Independents.
CD2: State rep and tire salesman Jimmy Matlock, Jason Emert, and Tim Burchett.
Survey monkey. Lol. Hardly credible.
