A top National Security Council (NSC) official was forced to leave the group on Thursday, the most recent departure since national security adviser John Bolton joined the administration earlier this ear, Politico reported Friday.
Jennifer Arangio, a senior director in NSC who worked with global groups, was escorted off White House premises and told that she was no longer needed at the administration, according to Politico.
A NSC spokesman told Politico that the group doesnt comment on personnel issues, and Arangio and didnt return the publications request for comment.
A former White House official told Politico that Arangio is fiercely loyal to President Trump, but that she clashed with White House aide Stephen Miller.
"She has fought to correct misleading information about refugees and migrants provided to the president by Miller and the DPC," the former White House official said.
The publication also reported that two other top NSC officials, Joel Rayburn and Michael Bell, left the groups Middle East sector this week.
Rayburn is expected to join the State Department while its unclear what the other official, Michael Bell, will do, according to Politico. Rayburn didn't return the publication's request for comment and Bell couldn't be reached.
Several officials have left the NSC since Bolton began officially overseeing the group in early April. Former homeland security adviser Tom Bossert and spokesman Michael Anton are among the officials who have left the NSC.
She worked for McCabe.
I think I know why she was asked to leave.
“All Of The Above For $500, Alex”?
Or La Raza.
Ms. Arangio also worked on numerous pieces of legislation and was the lead counsel on the Committees signature cybersecurity bill, which was passed by Congress and signed into law by the President in December 2014. She led numerous industry stakeholder meetings during that bills development. Moreover, she led the Committees discussions with House Homeland Security Appropriations staff and managed the Committees annual budget hearing with the Secretary of DHS for six years. During her eight year tenure on Capitol Hill, Ms. Arangio regularly liaised with Congressional leadership and White House staff and worked with industry, trade organizations, associations, and think tanks on legislative policy and regulatory matters. She also has regional expertise in the Middle East and Europe and traveled there extensively with the Committee.
Ms. Arangio previously served as a managing partner at McCabe, Flynn & Arangio LLP, a New York City-based boutique law firm focused on corporate and securities regulation. She represented financial services institutions in corporate, regulatory and compliance matters before the New York Stock Exchange and FINRA.
(I added boldface to a few bits, it not boldface in the original).
I don't know about anyone else, but personally I'm damn sure she passed along everything she heard from inside the Whitehouse or from anyone who supports Trump to Mueller, the NeverTrump RINO crowd, and the Hillary Cabal.
She should have been escorted out by Federal Marshals and taken into custody for passing classified information to individuals not cleared to have access to it.
We may hear more about her antics in the near future. She looks like someone Petraeus would like having around. Wonder if there's a connection to him somewhere in the woodpile? And is that firm with McCabe in the name the same Andrew McCabe we all know and love?
JMHo
Of course, it could be a lot simpler than all that..
I was typing a similar post while yours was already posted. Good questions you’ve asked.
All things considered, I’m comfortable with John Bolton’s take on things...
You don't get escorted out because you don't play well with others.
Im guessing a leaker
She’ll get a professorship at some IV League law school or other.
Guilty.

Curious and perhaps ironic coincidence there, but apparently nothing more.
