Former President George W. Bush is disturbed by the "rhetoric" in the current immigration debate.
Bush attended an event at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Ark., on Thursday with former President Bill Clinton, CNN reported.
He said the current immigration debate undermines the goodness of America.
"I think it doesn't recognize the valuable contributions that immigrants make to our society," Bush said. "And it obscures the fact the rhetoric does that the system is broken and needs to be fixed." There has been a national debate over handling immigration after the Trump administration implemented what it calls a zero tolerance policy to prosecute all adult migrants who enter the country illegally.

Nobody gives a crap how disturbed you are Jorge. You’re one of the main reasons President Trump has to clean this mess up so shut the hell up and sit down.
Mr. Mew World Order, Junior doesn’t like that all the New World Order cabal’s dreams have gone up in smoke.
I’m disturbed by Building 7. So we’re even.
Omit the last four words of the title.
I was disturbed by the greatest foreign policy blunder in American history by invading Iraq on a false pretense. SHUT UP, GEORGE!!
“I think it doesn’t recognize the valuable contributions that immigrants make to our society,” Bush said.
Maybe for you and your circle Jorge, but the rest of us clean our own toilets and mow our own lawns.
My sentiments exactly!
I’m disturbed that we (twice) elected a President so intent on destroying what his own people created. Move to Mexico and take your white guilt with you, Jorge.
Does anyone remember if this s***head ever criticized Obama during his two terms? I think we were told over and over again that Bush was going to further a tradition of being an apolitical former President. I distinctly remember reading some trash like that.
Oh, and it’s not just illegal immigration. Legal immigration is around 1.5 million per year. That’s straight up demographic replacement that we’re doing on purpose. We do not need millions of third worlders having children, becoming citizens, and voting like third worlders do, amongst all the other mischief they are prone to.
Im disturbed by the Bush familys little game of drugs, murder, and power grabbing for a couple generations, all coated with a genteel candy covering.
Bush and the same BS straw-man argument.
I have heard no one argue against managed, LEGAL immigration.
Is it possible to retroactively retract a vote for someone? In this case, twice?
Interesting: Bush and Clinton together. Bush should be disturbed about all the illegal aliens running amok around the country, ripping off our welfare system, and committing horrific crimes.
Immigrants and their minor dependents > 60 million. Plus who knows how many illegals.
No amount is ever enough for the Cheap Foreign Labor lobby.
Fifty years it was sometimes said, “What’s good for General Motors is good for America.”
But that was when our major businesses were American companies, not globally-oriented multinationals with no particular loyalty to any one country.
And back then our elites in media, entertainment, government and law were not people who were estranged from and harboring deep animosity toward flyover Americans and American history.
