There are anti-Klan laws to prevent people from marching and assembling with their faces covered.

They aren't being enforced.

They may wear black masks now instead of white, but they are still Democrats.

The "democrats'" own Sturmabteilung (SA).

The SA also attacked or intimidated anyone deemed hostile to the Nazi agenda, including uncooperative editors, professors, politicians, other local officials and businessmen. - Wikipedia

Sound familiar?

Cernovitch isn't "alt-right". He denounced the alt-right after "Heil-gate" and again after Charlottsville. There was a schism. This stuff is easy to find out about with minimal research, but the MSM, even "The Hill" doesn't bother, better to just use imprecise language and smear everyone with a description that invokes bad feelings in many.

Cernovitch is an object of derision among the actual alt-right, for being a grifter and con-man with low or no actual philosophy, and grabbing onto Maga to sell various patent medicines and self-penned self-help books. He is referred to by them as "alt-lite".

It’s reasoning is every bit stronger and more moral than so called “hate crimes”. While a “hate” crime is nothing other than a tohught crime added to some act that is already criminal and really has no need to, and is morally wrong to attach an addiitonal crime of nothing but the motive as a sperate crime. Nowhere else that I know of, but with so-called “hate crimes”, are motivs considerred additional crimes all by themselves. In the antifa case, the defendant is being charged in essence with attempting to hided their identity duringt the commission of acts for which they could be charged with a violation of the law. To ease passage of the law, they could be sure the language was “incident neutral” and would include “masked robbers” and “masked attackers” of any kind. That would free it, politically, from being denied passage as mere “politically motivated”.

“received renewed attention on Tuesday after alt-right personality Mike Cernovich encouraged his followers”

Alt-right is a pejorative invented by the left to smear the center. Normal people are slurred by calling them “followers.”

“Under the act, anyone “wearing a mask” or in disguise who “injures, oppresses, threatens, or intimidates any person … in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege” is subject to a fine or up to 15 years in prison.”

Oh Jeff would get right on it.

We have laws against making threats against the President...they aren’t enforced. They will be looked at as little children. Personally I say round them up and Semitic them to 3 years on a golf range gathering golf balls without padding.

Dog and pony show.

Won’t get passed - unnecessary anyway - current laws dealing with this aren’t enforced

Wouldn’t get enforced if it was passed (see line 2)

If Sessions and company cared they have plenty of legal recourse already. We know damn well some of these paid Brownshirts are crossing state lines to commit violence. Federal crime right there. Sessions and company AWOL

This is simple. All it the “anti Klan” or “anti racism” act, and dare the Dems to oppose it.

Put some teeth into it by going after those who are financing and/or organizing. Something similar to RICO.

They shut down antifa in New Orleans by by enforcing a ban on wearing masks in public. I guess antifa did not want to challenge the NOPD.

Poorly written law and it would be thrown out easily.
Plus, why do you need another law that law enforcement are going to be told to ignore.
