Alan Dershowitz Explains Why President Trump Chose Kavanaugh Over Barrett
Fox News Radio ^ | July 10, 2018 | Todd Starnes

Posted on 07/10/2018 4:09:41 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Less than a day after President Trump announced Judge Brett Kavanaugh as his choice to fill the vacancy left by Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court, Todd Starnes spoke with Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law Professor and author of The Case Against Impeaching Trump, about why Judge Amy Coney Barrett was not selected.

"I don't think the President decided not to pick Barrett, I think he decided to not to pick her for this vacancy. I think he anticipates several vacancies. If Ruth Bader Ginsberg leaves, he might pick her then. The American people have to know one thing that distinguishes these two. I think that, very likely, Kavanaugh will cut back on Roe Vs. Wade. I think he thinks it was wrongly decided, that it should be left to the states. Barrett may have a very different view. She believes that there is a right to life that the fetus is an innocent citizen of this country. And basically, maybe she believes, that states don't even have a right to permit abortion. Most Americans won't support that," Dershowitz said....

Exactly, then the set majority of the court will prevent any mamby pamby non constitutional judgments to fly through or from the Court. Also the lower courts will need to be slapped down and their assumed powers taken away.

This is a long term disassemble and re-assemble project but we have the correct objectives in mind as our guiding light

Kind of like the old Superman TV series: Truth, Justice and The American Way

RBG -> post election Barrett
Sotomayor -> Judge 1
Breyer -> Judge 2

Barrett is a possible so it could change but her basic standards and beliefs make her a good candidate and I do not think she is pro-choice (I hate typing that term, murder as a choice!)

With that in place the course is then set from the top of the Judiciary food chain for discipline in the ranks and following the laws and not social norms of the day

Great post, ThanQ

The part I agree with is that Barrett is on tap for a future pick if/when we get that lucky...she has such a short time on the bench that she has had no time to develop a judicial record...

So we should repeal the murder laws?

No, but we need to be realistic about sins. Anti-abortion people (and I am one) often cling to false goals. The real goal is less people choosing to end the lives of the unborn. Whatever does that is our goal.

No way is the photo fake. I believe Virginia. I’ve been in similar position. But Mr. Prince has to use whatever he can because there is a photo.

how would you like to be Hardiman? It looks like he’s been the runner-up twice in a row now.

Thanks for your reply. How can we explain the different pixellation? The photo was taken with a polaroid with a side mount flash. Then it was scanned digitally. There is no reason for the discrepancy if an actual photo was placed on a scanner.

I know that this is not the pressing issue of the day, but since you have reason to be emotionally concerned, I await your opinion. Would love to know also, if not too painful for you, the story of your situation.
