If they really want to save Democracy, they could start by backing policies that people outside the coastal liberal enclaves would vote for.

Sure, let’s start today to pack the court. Say 10 more and Trump gets to appoint!
Deplorables must consider clubbing Democrat Regressives like baby Harp seals.
“Democracy Dies in Darkness” isn’t just a motto for The Post - it’s also the mission statement.
America is not a democracy, you ignorant pinhead!
Conservative judges would not be “eroding rights,” they would be interpreting duly passed laws as they are written.
It is certainly more enjoyable to read the whining and moaning by the Democrats than it would have been to be the one moaning and whining if Hillary had been elected President.
Let’s - we Conservatives - make it clear to the public, the sheeple, that the Left’s idea of what they refer to as “Democracy” has zero, zip, nada to do with any basic element of true democracy.
One case (of many examples) demonstrates what they mean by “democracy” and how it has nothing to do with democracy. What popular democratic voting process mandated “gay marriage” throughout the U.S.? None. It was dictated into existence by the Supreme court, and done so to void democratic processes in the states that opposed it. Yet the Left suggests to the sheeple that by trying to protect such court dictated decisions, they are trying to protect “Democracy”.
Someone - a protester - holding a sign for an atheist group in front of the Supreme Court recently had these words on the protest sign: “Keep Your Theocracy Off Our Democracy”. And what we can ask did DEMOCRACY have to do with a group of judges imagining constiutional content that is not in the Constitution, and dictating their legal invention as a mandate on the people. NOTHING, nothing at all to with DEMOCRACY. Yet, there it - the pretense - is in the arguments the sheeple hear from the Left.
The same is true for Roe V Wade, and other decisions.
The Left’s use of “Democracy” is part of their appeal to an ignorant base. If they - the Left - wants something - whether there is a national popular majority for it or not - then if they can get regulatory or judicial dicators to dictate it over the heads of everyone else, that to the left is “Democracy”.
Great idea!
I am sure the court will love company.
Maybe Trump should rescind this latest appointment and appoint Merrick Garland to appease these libs.
Of the last 4 democratic appointments, Breyer is the only one that came with credentials at least worthy of the court. The other 3 were fortunate to get out of law school.
Sounds like they got to one like they got to Roberts...
what is their version of “Democracy”? Do whatever you want without consequences and someone else pays for you mistakes?
And then when the Republicans get back in, they will pack it again. Until we have a couple hundred justices.
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the DEMOCRACY for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Don't try to tell them we have a Republic. It's a little too deep for them to grasp, and they're too busy trying to inform us, to learn anything.
Actually, all the things they are worried about with the courts have nothing to do with democracy or republican democracy - they are worried about overturning judicial fiat. In other words, the Democrats are against democratic votes - but for Judicial tyranny.
They’re just admitting that, given the chance, they have no problem stacking the court full of ideologues where conservatives aren’t represented. Yet they’re horrified the other side might do the same. This convinces them the other side **MUST** be doing the same.
This is the difference. We actually believe in faithful interpretation of the Constitution. They believe it says what they want it to say. They believe that the “living” Constitution means constant reinterpretation. Wrong, it means it provided a process to amend it.
Thanks for giving President Trump a good idea.
