Honestly, what Elon Musk did comes across as incredibly opportunistic. Not helpful, but self-promotional. To me, that’s how he comes across.
Consider that it might be taken out of context. It’s possible Elon Musk was asked what he accomplished while he was there. I didn’t hear him taking credit for the rescue in that statement.
Agreed about what Elon Musk did. Not only self-promoting and opportunistic, but arrogant...like the Thais couldn’t handle it without big chief American billionaire’s assistance.
Yeah. I'm struggling to believe he was behaving altruistically -- but I'm failing.
A solution more grandiose than the problem called for.
Quite a few of Elon’s twitter followers urged him to get involved. He agreed to look into it and that’s what he came up with. Honestly, I can’t fault him for his efforts, even if it’s partly self promotional. I think he’s genuine though. He’s got a history of responding to charitable requests with resources or money.
Why are you so judgements. First accusing the coach of being a molester and now judging Musk of self promoting? Bad day? Hope thats all it is.
“... Elon Musk .... opportunistic .... Not helpful .... self-promotional ....”
What he did is throw money and tech at the problem, providing alternatives. That is the resource he has — money/tech. If something had gone wrong with the chosen plan, perhaps Musk’s device would have been helpful.
Options are always good.
