Trump nominates Kavenaugh
Reading the linked article, there is something fishy about the guy who is criticizing Kavanaugh’’s investigation into Ken Foster’s death in Fort Marcy Park:
Rodriguez went back to the U.S. attorney’s office in Sacramento, where, following a gender identity change, he is today serving the public and continuing to fight crime.
Thanks for the best BOL on the thread.
Dont trust his troops in Congress!
Please post the best outrage videos you find
“The Left is freaking out about Kavanaugh.”
Wonder what their FR logons are?
Except that trump nominated him. He will take the current ire they might even deny him the seat.
Great question.
Are the concerned ones today, the same concerned ones when Gorsuch was nominated?
Are you talking about the Sam Alito that conservatives almost had to force on W., because he really wanted moderate, unqualified Harriet Miers instead of a reliable conservative judge?
Harriet Miers was the last straw for me in no longer supporting Bush.
You fools lose Alabama and then tell Trump to pick the most right wing person he can find. I don’t have enough info but at the same time Trump doesn’t have much help in the Senate and the red States who put in Democrats are largely to blame.
Ann? Ann Coulter? Ppffttt...the same Ann Coulter who said Christie and Romney were great nominees? Who recently tweeted Trump should be impeached over something she didn’t like? Who spent about 3 days over the weekend trashing and lying and distorting Judge Kethledge’s record on immigration and got her followers so terrified they begged Trump not to select him?
She had a tantrum, it worked. She got her boy on SCOTUS.
She is without principle.

I wouldn’t bet money on that. Kavanaugh has great respect for stare decisis, so he may simply see Roe as settled law. We’ll have to wait and see. Coney Barrett would have been the one choice we could have been almost certain to be anti-Roe and flexible on stare decisis (since she practically already stated her position on these).
Besides even if Roe is overturned, that just means each state gets to decide if it wants legal abortions or not.
“If we pick up 5-7 senate seats in November, which I think is possible, then I think Judge Barrett will be the next SC nominee when the next opening occurs! “
I agree and this maybe the strategy. Way too many pro abort repubikans that would vote against Barrett this go around..The usual suspects.
This guy will be another Roberts. He will tilt the way the wind blows, with maybe a hint more conservative than liberal. Soon he will be considered a “swing vote” like his mentor. If the libs need him for a 5-4 vote like Kennedy with gay marriage, they have their man.
When I read the views of the various candidates the night Kennedy retired, this guy made the bottom of my list.
Let the DemRats nastily trash the man. It will be a baptism by fire that will cement him more deeply to constitutional conservatism. Look what they did to Thomas and Alitoboth are proven solid constitutional judges and the top of the class.
This used to be a place where people didn’t count chickens before they hatched.
Baby murder is now dead.
If Roe v Wade is overturned, most states would allow some form of abortion. If abortion were federally outlawed, there would still be abortion. Doctors can disguise it easily as a D&C. Abortion is here to stay like rape and murder.
Our goal for all crimes like this is FEWER OF THEM.
You re boring.
Is he a Jesuit?
Gee I thought even you NeverTrumper Republican Party worshippers would be dancing in the streets with this pick. Its a safe, easy pick. The next ones going to make this look like a church social. McWeasel will have to rent a pair of nuts for the next one.
Either will have to be room temperature and carried out.
