How did we survive before plastic straws and grocery bags, and seasonal-only fresh fruit and vegetables?

"I never understood why they changed from paper straws"
Because, don't you know, paper straws were made from paper.
Paper was made from processed wood.
Processed wood came from trees.
A tree had to dies just so you could have a straw.
See, that's how it works.
Now oil is causing 'global climate change'.
It is deja vu all over again.
It never ends.

Incinerating plastic is NOT harmful to the environment.
https://phys.org/news/2013-12-plastic-cleanly-natural-gas.html
On a side note, has anyone ever wonder why the Lord switched from water to fire in judging? In the end the Lord heats the earth up so hot that all man made stuff is incinerated. Also lets not forge that Satan and all that follow him are tossed in the Lake of fire. So, IMHO incinerating today is the right thing as it will become the process that the Lord uses.
Incinerating plastic is the best solution!

Why not radiator hoses? They’re usable for 50,000 miles of coffee.

Paper straws don’t last as long as the plastic ones for this insane society that drinks beverages while driving.
We can all remember when cars has no place to put cups.

a raised lip you can drink from
Disasters waiting to happen.
Unless the 'cup' is heavy duty -- such as plastic, it could easily bend inward, releasing the plastic cover with 'a raised lip you can drink from', causing the hot coffee to spill onto a person's chest.
But, hey, the replacement feature idea sounded good when it was proposed.
Now, they need a special counter line for lawsuits.

Starbucks stock price is waaaaay down. They have reached market saturation and are closing some 150+ stores. Their CEO and CFO have quit...............Here in Oil Patch City we have a Starbucks down the road next to a Walmart which I have never been in. A local Starbucks-type coffee shop has a drive-up window that always has a long line. Inside are a selection of homemade baked pastries, pleasant tables with free wi-fi and two big screen TV's. CNN? Never, but Fox News closed captioned!

For their next act, they will eliminate all paying customers.
I haven’t been in a Starbuck’s in a while, btw, and have no plans to any time soon.

Next, they’ll come for the cups. Will Starbucks be the first to go BYOM (bring your own mug)? They kinda already do. You get 10¢ off if you use your own cup.

Burning plastic in the traditional manner creates extremely polluting byproducts, as evidenced by the black smoke produced by the cup. But this didn't thwart Levendis, who noted that plastic contains the same amount of energy per pound as premium fuel.I was not aware that there is a "good" way to burn plastic.
