Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) detailed how Democrats can push Republican Senators to oppose President Trump's "extreme" and "ideological" yet to be named Supreme Court Associate Justice nominee in the weekly Democratic weekly address.

Murray said those who would like to go back to the days "when women had to seek out back-alley abortions" want you to feel "powerless." She asked listeners to tell people who aren't "fired up yet" to please "tweet, post, march, call, and write" your elected officials.

I am amazed at the stupidity of the voters in Washington state. They could have matched her intellect and governing skills by electing Caligula’s horse.

WA State is a prime candidate for state that produces the worst senators and governors. Of course, there is much competition for that designation. They should rename the state; it’s an embarrassment to the memory of George Washington.

Are Democrats single issue people? When it comes to the courts , the only issue the care about is abortion???

I’m concerned about abortion, though on the other side from the liberals. But, I’m concerned about so many other legal matters. Most may be on the opposite side of issues from the land befsls, but again, it’s not like the only issue most of us look for is where a nominee stands on roe vs wade.

This is so stupid, in that, without even knowing who the nominee is, the liberals are out there attacking.

Who is going to give Ted Kennedys “Robert Borks America” speech, in which the nominee will be said to be the greatest threat to American freedom, and imply the nominee wants women impaled on coat hangers????

That's why we need a good Christian man in the office.

Keith Swank is running for the Senate. He's a conservative and would make a great Senator for the State of Washington...someone we'd be proud of.

Yes, I know the guy.

Keith Swank for Senate

We don't know who it is yet, but they are EVIL and MUST be stopped!!!!

Trump could nominate Justice Kennedy to replace himself at this point, and they would oppose it.

“She is actually a member of the leadership in the senate. No, really.”

Well, we in the GOP have Cathy McMorris Rogers also from WA in the House, and no one has accused her of being a Mensa either! And she’s also in the GOP House “leadership!”

I guess abortion is not just one of many “rights” to the left, it is a core issue because that is how they view life. They have a strictly utilitarian view on the value of a life and this is all tied up in issues of money and power. From having abortion firmly established, they want to expand the types of people who can be eliminated in the name of utility.

I’m waiting for Ruth “BUZZY” G to step down. Really hope he holds Amy Barrett to replace her— Can you imagine. Not just “ANOTHER” woman. A conservative /pro life who will help keep the court conservative for 30-40 years. A red wave this fall will guarantee whom ever is nominated will be put in place.
If the conservative members also step aside for younger people it will cement the court for decades.

The Democrats would call Merrick Garland “extreme” if Trump nominated him.

It has nothing to do with possible SC candidates and everything to do with Trump.

Rock and roll Patty. The more that the people hear from the likes of Senator Murray, the more likely that a majority of the Senate vote to confirm President Trump’s nominee
