Elon Musk has sent a team of engineers to help rescue the group of 12 children and their coach trapped in a cave in Thailand.
The billionaire entrepreneur said that a group of engineers from his companies, SpaceX and The Boring Company, would leave for Thailand on Saturday "to see if we can be helpful to the government."
He suggested inserting a one metre diameter nylon tube through the cave network and inflating it with air "like a bouncy castle". He said that this should create an air tunnel underwater against the cave roof, allowing people to walk through it and duck through the narrow sections.
As long as the air feed rate exceeds the leak rate, the tube will remain inflated, he said. Musk claimed that this would very little power compared to pumping out water faster than it enters the cave system.

I said almost the same thing just yesterday, only I went with a dryer vent. Just run a big dryer vent tube through the cave and let them crawl through it. Nobody wrote an article about my suggestion.
effects of pressurization against the walls? what about the areas too narrow for a diver wearing a single tank?
Better idea might be to bore at the end of the tunnel, after the kids’ location, and extract them from there. If there’s a collapse, the kids can still escape through the original entrance. If they bore between the ‘beach’ and the kids and there’s a collapse, they get sealed in forever.

As a Freeper said a few days ago, why not just make a giant straw and suck the kids out of the cave? Maybe Musk is reading FR.
I prayed today that people/anyone would come out of the woodwork coming up with grand ideas...only one has to work. I even (gasp) prayed that some evil-doer like soros could spend some of his billions saving these children instead of the other crap their money is spent on.
