Therese Patricia Okoumou, the woman who scaled the Statue of Liberty on Independence Day in protest of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, explained Thursday that former first lady Michelle Obama motivated her.
Okoumou appeared in federal court Thursday, pleading not guilty on charges of trespassing, interfering with agency functions and disorderly conduct.
Okoumou, who was surrounded by approximately 50 supporters during her roughly six-minute hearing, told a federal judge she understood the counts against her.
Court papers also charged Okoumou with resisting arrest by refusing to leave the perch where Lady Liberty's feet stand, roughly 100 feet above ground.
She was released without bail on her own recognizance, and is expected to next appear in court on Aug. 3. (Fox News)

So, is Patty here legally? Is she a US citizen? Green card? Sounds like the DRC native should be bound for a return flight to her beloved homeland. She can go back and protest there. See how far she gets there inspired by moochie. And of course she was released without having to post bail. Flight risk? Srsly? Too much to bitch about here in the evil USA. So, unless the feds ship her back, no flight risk.

Exactly - she can go back to Congo where it’s perfect. I’d like to know IF she has citizenship, bc I have been watching and looking and I have not seen any mention of that. At all. I’d also like to know if she’s Muslim. I’d also like to see her fined heavily for putting the 4500 tourists + the Park folks to endless problems, and I’d like to see the helicopter bills tacked onto the charges. Walk away? No fine? No bail? No nothing? Disgusting.

Wait, in this case wouldn't it be a good thing if she did flee the country to avoid prosecution?

Resisting arrest? .338 Lapua would have taken care of that.

She didn’t scale the statue. She barely got above the base.
Send her back to the Congo.
For me, if you love us, you’re one of us. If you don’t, why are you here?

Let me make this easy. Prosecution? You know it’ll get tossed.

...
“She” looks very manly (I’m not surprised that she was inspired by Michael). My guess is she was granted asylum and given gold plated benefits because she claimed persecution of homosexuals.

So, she ruins 100s of people’s once-in-a-lifetime chance to visit the Statue of Liberty on the 4th of July. I believe one must purchase tickets to visit the Statue. Did those folks who were forced to evacuate/not allowed to land on the island given refunds? Since she didn’t have to raise money for bail, will she compensate her victims?
