A federal judge upheld most of California’s new sanctuary laws Thursday, but did rule the state went too far when it ordered businesses not to grant access to the Border Patrol or deportation officers.
Judge John A. Mendez, a Bush appointee to the court, said the state does not have to turn over illegal immigrants and can refuse to cooperate with federal agents, as long as it still allows local police to share information.
And he ruled that California has the right to perform inspections on any facility that holds illegal immigrants in the state.

Is he at all aware of the stories of illegals given sanctuary then causing the death of American citizens? So its OK that sanctuary cities have lead to this, judge?

a federal judge who ignores federal law,
impeachment procedures should be started against some of these ridiculous judges.
Hopefully the SCOTUS will turn this around, in the meantime we are stuck with this aholes decision.
It's also a partial win for the feds. Barring businesses and local police from cooperating with immigration officers were two of the most egregious points the feds were fighting.

States don’t have to help enforce federal law. It’s always been that way because of state’s rights.

The “state” National Guard was used to enforce Brown vs. Board of Education after Eisenhower federalized it. That’s a Trump-card our president could use if necessary.

The illegals in CA have allowed these laws to be passed, in the first place. (By being allowed to elect the fools who are in office.)

I think this ruling does allow for private businesses to still call ICE?? Not sure.
I guess this means that Trump can withhold Federal Money from Calif for hiding illegals from ICE & the Border Patrol ???
